I think he meant that you have to fill any old screw holes that might conflict with the pin holes that you are going to have to drill in the headstock to accommodate the anchor pins on the back of the sperzel tuners. He isn't saying that you have to fill and re-drill the holes for the tuning post. Look at pictures of the sperzel tuners online and you'll see what he means.

Hi I own a Epiphone ES 295,are Sperzels compatible with my guitar? and if it is does it leave any holes? thanks
