  • At 12:30 man thats some nasty shit!

  • 7:00 Mario gets really nasty when you give him a shotgun and a uniform...

  • great film but night of the living dead is superior

  • The "human being" at 9:07 is so lifelike it's actually scary! So realistic!

  • wolleys gone apeshit man! haha!

  • The AIDS virus apocalyptic zombies

  • 11:26 to 11:35

    WHAT AN IDIOT.

  • Yay! The racist rogue cop gets killed off!

  • @Snyarhedir Or are they the National Guard, not the police?

  • Comment removed

  • It's sick how attached to their loved ones' remains some cultures' (including ours) people are. Even though corpses are coming to life and wreaking havoc, these persons don't want to let their friends' and family's dead bodies be disposed of so as to prevent reanimation. Good grief, people, the person you loved is no longer in that body--without its soul, its body is just a shell! Wake up, people!

  • in 1981 This Masterpiece would play every Friday Night @ midnight in a MALL in Torrance Calif.

our gang would go almost every Friday. We had nicks for all the characters and knew all the dialog by heart. Met two of the stars a few years back at a Horror Con and they were really cool.

  • god damn brutal classic horror movie....

    COOL!

  • Pourquoi la scène de la tête qui explose est censurée ?

  • kinda shit nigga cops? attacking fellownie officers, no helmet, no bullet prove vest, usless long military weapons in a close quater building assault. what a shit...

  • thank you for uploading this!

  • What a classic! Amazing! And it's still banned in Germany...what a stupid censorship...

  • This is the cut version >=O

  • I love how Romero never focuses on the cause or origin of the zombies. They just are. In most movies, this would be a poor plot mechanic, but here this particular mechanism works well. The "why" of the zombies is not relevant. The collapse of society coupled with flesh-eating post-humans coming to fuck you up, however, is.

  • I've always found the social overtones about zombies the most disturbing (past the whole eating-you-alive thing). Large mobs behaving animalistically is terrifying. Social structural collapse is unnerving to most. There is a lot of parallel between zombies and riots, I think. That's, perhaps, why this type of movie scares the shit out us. That sense of hopelessness and powerlessness, powered by that perspective of "a few against many". Magnificent upload, friend.

  • 9:06 WORST. CENSORSHIP. EVER.

  • This zombies make me more lols then scares.

  • Classick.

  • Why was the head blasting cut out?

  • What's funny is in the original Night of the Living Dead the creatures' name was "ghouls" instead of "zombies." The original name should have stuck, now many ignorant people confuse Haitian zombies with the living dead. Haitian zombies were really living people drugged to act as puppets for their master.

  • @Vernedi I also read somewhere that they were locked in coffins, using up oxygen real quick. When the people were let out of the coffins, they'd have brain damage (due to lack of air) and would serve as slaves. But yeah, what you said is a common tale.

  • 7:25

He says he'll be okay and then

    7:30

Man, that was faster than I expected.

  • @kaampanita1675

agreed, i thought within the first 20 minutes or so,

    but 5 seconds, wow,

  • Ah, they left out the exploding head part!

  • this reminds me of scooby doo

  • I love how it starts out in an isolated corner of a room. Romero is good at depicting isolation. And the main character is usually a woman who starts off not knowing how to defend herself which adds vulnerability on top of isolation.

  • That TV executive should have been publically executed for treason against humanity.

  • does anybody know that black guys name?

  • @wwejheaton Peter (played by Ken Foree). Or do you mean the priest?

  • @IggyHazard no i ment the you just said not the priest

  • What I love about this film is that there are no zombies at all for the first 10 minutes. All that time is spent prepping the viewer.

  • prepping?

  • @stevenrf69 the first 10 minutes were just talking about what zombies do ... couldn't get away with it today

  • o. they couldnt? y not?

  • They shouldn't have killed poor wooly!

  • you sir are badass

  • chopping mall

  • Wooley is NUTS!

  • shit man this is better than i got

  • Oh Miguelito you dirty boy!

  • this movie ? i still trying to understand it.

  • Love the classic zombie movies. Another good one is Dead•Alive it's directed by Peter Jackson.

  • @Wretched1385 Oh yeah! The one with the laughing ghoul baby, right? :D

Another great Jackson film is the Frighteners, even though it is about ghosts.

  • The dialogue at 6:21 is literary genius: "Bastards got them all moved into one building. Dumb little Bastard!"

  • LOL @ Wooley

  • is this the romero cut or the old extended cut ?

  • @thefoolfish1 this is the romero cut the dario argento one is the old extended cut witch has the original music and cuts from this one and its much better

  • i love how romero shows the depths society can stoop to when faced with catastrophe.

  • @darthneji1992 im kinda like a zombie fan and i dont like the classics

  • scenes not in my dvd

  • MARTINEZ!!!

  • its cut...! SO dont watch it!!

  • @itsbone141 its the only way the movie could be uploaded dumbass

  • lmao one of the best zombie films ive ever seen

  • @colombia715 Not one of the best.....THEEEEE BEST!!!!!!!

  • the black female zombie @11:08 looks like diana ross

  • I like Dario argentos version, the goblin soundtrack is much better.

  • lmao I've never seen this version and i'm not sure I want to based on all the comments hahaha

  • @tearose00 you'd fuckin hate return of the living dead then haha

  • this is one of the scariest movies Iv'e ever seen. I thought I was going to puke when that zombie bit that womans neck.

  • black people are ashy as hell when they are zombies

  • 07:30, Wow Poor Guy!

  • Love how they are all Hackin butts!

  • Comment removed

  • @IAMARATEL Would you really be able to kill your own mother, or even son if this happened? If you love someone enough, you shouldn't have to.

  • @CohiodaMohio22 You wouldn't be killing your 'mother' or 'son', you'd be killing a reanimated corpse. People become far too attached to the flesh of their loved ones, as if the decomposing matter was still them. I don't mean to sound harsh, but reality is reality. (If zombie apocalypses were real that is. :)

  • @IAMARATEL that's the beauty of Romero's dead movies.. the cause of the zombies is unknown. corpses are simply waking up. i like to think the hell full theory is correct that all the death of Vietnam, both world wars + murders over the centuries has filled hell up and there spilling out. but that's me, Romero doesn't say whats causing it

  • @jopeon1983 I prefer the Venus radiation theory.

  • Comment removed

  • @jopeon1983 well said, that makes Romero THE zombie movie maker, nothing comes close to him or his movies.

  • audio problems?

  • lol you have to watch the original then u have to watch the remake

  • 8:19 Poor John Amplas. He always gets killed in Romero's movies...

  • man if this movie is "good" then the internet "was never invented."

  • Thumbs up if you knew George Romero before Call of the Dead in Black Ops

  • @petpef Oh boy, that's gonna get a lot of thumbs up. It's almost like saying "Thumbs up if you're breathing" ^^

  • @petpef I'VE BEEN WATCHING GEORGE'S MOVIES SINCE BEFORE YOU WERE BORN. Lol, joking! Just 10 years. :-)

  • O_O 7:05, he say what I think he say? SSSSSHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTT, and at 10:30 he has the right idea

  • Comment removed

  • at 00:59 Gorge A Romero?

  • @kasumymen Yes, that's George A. Romero at the control board. Note at 1:42 how he appears directly under his own name on the screen. The woman sitting next to him is his then-wife Christine Forrest ("Sure, I just pull it out of my ass, right?").

  • @MrUnidyne xD jaja i didn't notice

  • Om nom nom nom. Zombies!

  • Is Rod Tucker gay???

  • mask for gas mask for gas

  • if zombies exist it will probably start in haitti because haiti gets fked by everything sunamis earthquakes hurricanes etc

  • @raptorhunter104 Zombies actually originated in Haiti.

  • the best. simply as that. amazing.

  • wow i like this movie we woched this everday

  • This is my favorite zombie movies and one of my favorite movies ever

  • This one is cut. YOU CAN'T CUT THIS FILM!!!

  • @greensucksbluerules

The British either played the 28 movies smart or without balls as there can only be 2 options which are either: lets call the the zombies for creatures instead for zombies as it may otherwise outrage Romero fanboys if we do not! Romero said that the 20 first minutes of the remake (with running zombies and all!) were terrific. Film critic Roger Ebert gave this film 3/4 stars. Bloody disgusting said it was the 8th greatest remake ever!

  • @Revengefilms1

Romero MUST without a doubt be one tough mofo if he is NOT scared at what is coming at him! Or as he said: "I'm not terrified of things running at me; it's like Space Invaders." Yeah, if you say so. Dawn remake is also the most successful Zombie film remake ever! I bet if original had running in it it had been a different tune altogether. What cut version is this, I was told that I should watch the 126 minutes as it is not in ZZZZZZZZZZZZ style. Extended went on for to long.

  • the first ever recorded zombie was an alagator

who died but had a brain viruse that coused

its body to twich and move after physical death

    THATS A ZOMBIE

and the first """aledged"""" human zombie was a women

in Haiti who was found roming the streets of a small town in 1947

only problem her widower and family had burried dead

    30 years earlyer in 1907

  • somehow i agree with all of these arguments

  • @greensucksbluerules

We actually agree on the Zack Snyder comment! IMO the Dawn remake is the only good film he has done, but there are however other films that have running zombies such as Nightmare city, 28 days later, 28 weeks later. I will never get how someone can see slow moving zombies as something scary. It would be very interesting to see a Romero film with running zombies. I wonder what he would say about that?

  • Common let's get on with it this is a waste of my time. Common you dumb bastards come an get em

  • Romero sux

  • This is a very stupid film because the zombies are retarded slow moving idiots. Watch remake for greatness, now hard core running zombies that shit is scary! How can this shit film be considered a "horror" film when its not even once scary? Romero is a fucking idiot. Zack Snyders vision was so much much better.

  • @mp10611 shaun of the dead is awsome, your gonna like it!

  • HAHAHAHA YEAH!!

    Kill those fuckin spics!!

Death to you you motherfuckin fagg latinos!!

  • "night of the living dead" and "dawn of the dead" were good movies, but "return of the living dead" was fucking retarded!!!! zombies cannot talk!!!!!!

  • @mp10611 It was a Zombie Comedy dude lay off it. Duck and Rabbits but people still laugh at Loony Tunes.

  • @nicholsjoshua15 it was a comedy???????? oops sorry, i really thought it was supposed to be horror, i did think was more funny than scary anyway.

  • @nicholsjoshua15 and also, tell me YOUR first reaction when you watched it and you heard the first zombie say BRAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!! I WANT UR BRAIIIIIIINS!!!!! MORE BRAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS!!!!!!!!!

  • @mp10611 I spit my soda out laughing!

  • @nicholsjoshua15 haha me too

  • @mp10611 Have you watched Sean Of The Dead it's good too!

  • @nicholsjoshua15 nope but i will look for it right now

  • what the hell....the head being blown off is missing !

  • At 14:56 it's a double brother.

  • The Walking Dead brought back the old Zombies and had a original story to it!

  • u got that rite! night of the living dead is the granddaddy of all zombie flicks. Didn't really like the zack snyder remake that much!

  • stop editing the fucking blood out u candy ass

  • Everytime I walk in a mall it always reminds me of this movie, I just need to know the stairway to the rooftop.

  • THUMBS UP on my feet too

  • This one is cut... at 9:05 his head just got into a fontain of blood and brain...

But it is still an awesome movie....

  • @TeppichPilot ikr, why put in a horror movie and take away the blood.

  • @TeppichPilot yeah people odnt watch this censor version, its just not kick ass without the gorey effects,

  • @TeppichPilot wut?

  • @Nitram916

What "wut?"?? :) I just said that this version is censored :)

  • @TeppichPilot lol I didn't understand what you meant

  • @Nitram916

Yeah well, I was kind of drunk when I postet that comment ;) At 09:05 his head should explode, thats what I really wantet to say ;)

  • @TeppichPilot who cares? the splatter was so cheap...better cut that out ^^

  • Holy shit you can watch DOTD here, thats fucking amazing...

  • @FakieTre97 u can watch many movies here but remember to not to flag it or report cause some assholes do that and fuck things up to people like you and me

    i hope u enjoy it

    peace

  • -All the women are useless and a burden.

-The police shoot a living human because they don't do their job and investigate

-All of the characters are useless, All of them could outrun the zombies if they went outside,, I guess they can't outsmart them though haha.

  • I didn't like night of the living dead because all of the characters are so stupid and useless. There is one useful character and he dies in the truck explosion.

-The bald guy is stupid and doesn't help anyone, he gets shot by the black guy.

-The black guy knows that the only way to kill them is shooting them in the head, yet he shoots them in the stomach 333623 times/wastes ammo.

  • 1 zombie disliked this video, he later was shot in the head.

  • At 4:45 is that the same cop who played in another zombie movie in 1979?

  • At 8:18 is that Roger saying "Don't go out there"?

  • this is freaky in a way, idk why, lol, but i think the zombies are scary in a cheesy way.. 10:10 - 11:17 is freaky

  • such a classic

  • at 1:05, George A. Romero cameo :D

  • 8:13 , huh, I didn't remember there was a Klingon in the movie.

  • @SmokingSpoon lol

  • Jesus chirst theres thousand of of pigs. what the hell is this going on you shot a s.w.a.t in the head. what is this?

  • JoanBeatrington0012 is just one of those "Americans" that goes through life looking for something to get pissed off at and his/her "flavor" of choice is race. Best to just ignore this type of person.

  • lmao "ill be alright" BOOM!!!! UR DEAD

  • Wtf is this an edited version?cuz dat 1 guys head diddnt explode

  • 10:54 shit they got lionel ritchie man!!!

  • Yeah shoot it 20 times while your friend gets eaten alive!

  • Can't even enjoy the movie with all the censoring. They're cutting out the best parts of the film!

  • Hollywood felt the fucking need to make zombies weak and fast, I like Romero zombies better...

  • GAY

  • Haha, this is fucking retarded.

  • Where are the American negros? DIS IS RACIST YO! Damn you american crackers and your old white USA. good thing you bird shit crackers are disappearing now. Jusice be served Muhfugga

  • @JoanBeatrington001

What are you talking about dude? Ken Foree absolutely KICKED ASS in this movie!

  • @JoanBeatrington001 how is it racist, it's how America was in 1978, America was almost completely white, we came from England. Why don't you calm down and watch a movie.

  • @JoanBeatrington001 So far there was 2 black swat guys dumbass

  • dawn of the dead 1978 was great and day of the dead 1985 was great.

  • Roger was the shit.. to bad he "died"

  • is this the full version of the film?

  • @neilmccauley not the true meaning, the dead trilogy really illustrates that it's mans inability to work together that is their greatest enemy. The struggle for control and leadership in the farmhouse, flyboy picking a fight with fellow humans in the mall and the soldiers and scientists fighting each other in the florida sewers.

  • 28 Days Later-Infected (NOT CORPSES) Although easier to kill, scare the living shit outta me.

George Romero Zombies-Slow undead, hard to kill, ,monstrous and effective if there's no escape route or reliable barrier.

I personally would rather be against slow zombies in my open city, but I prefer the slow zombies in movies.

  • @Colethecon me to. in my grammar class i am making a story when a band of soldiers is fighting off the slow zombies.
