2 years ago i was looking for a turbo. i was looking at the cobalt ss turbo or a 2005 neon srt4. i choose the srt4. its faster and corners alot better than the cobalt ss.

This fucking blows that there's basically no "tuner" cars like the cobalt SS, Neon SRT4, saturn redline or the like anymore :( they all either get replaced with shitty cars (like the fucking gay ass Cruze replaces the cobalt) or discontinued. Oh well. Fucking bullshit. I can always aim for a genesis coupe or something foreign ;)
@MonteLSV6 Yeah, I've driven several Cobalts and really liked them. They're popular enough, hold their resale value, and we get the Cruze, a car no one asked for or wanted.
yeah i own a 08 ss and still think the srt's are awsome, they sound nice a shit thats for sure, the bov on those is wicked, i went to go get a bov on my cobalt but relized it would be almost a grand to do it since we have to replace all the piping thats in them.
@generalzod13 you gotta think the cobalt ss has a recirculating bov therefore giving you the No lift shift, and the turbos in the cobalts can handle quite a bit, i think if anything a bov would lose the ss performance, just a sound mod really

@abmeraz86 A stage 2 srt'4 is about the same speed as a stock 09 cobalt ss your car has potential, just the cobalt has limited slip diff. Launch Control. Brembo brakes just a more better handling car. neons are only 4 doors too so idk, But if you tune a cobalt ss they are pretty wicked i still like the neon's alot
@XrJay03 Really? My 05 SRT-4 is stock with jus a Mopar CAI and Str8 pipe. I've raced 2 Cobalt TC's and i beat one by half a car and the other Cobalt jus depended on who had the better shifts i won 3 he won 2. I guess it jus depends on the driver. I want an ss for a daily driver, have a 01 z28. Insurance is too high on the cobalt for me to get one.
They go for around 15k with 15-20k miles on them in a few years it should drop some and ill be able to get one.
