@PSOCross i always played as a HUcast so i was never really seduced by the paralyze, i could never hit it and i might as well just kill them as quick as possible in stead of making a safety cushion with every enemy, but its not crap like any non rare hand gun

I understand, my first char on GC was a HUcast, and the whole Varista with paralysis didnt float my boat eitger, but once i became a Fleshie, and realized that the paralyze is un-redused on humans and newmans, i realized that Varista is a really good gun. Mostly for the ruins dark gunners and Indi Belras.
