you're wrong.... in theoretical numbers usb 2.0 is faster than firewire 400, but in real life, firewire is around 30 percent faster than usb

i forgot to mention that it includes an external power brick that powers the whole drive and I asume the interface as well.. so the usb port is not being used at all for power..
