I use and prefer open office, however I was caught out when sending a document to a job agency that I had done in open office, they opened it in word and the formatting looked as though I was fresh out of kindergarten. So now, I always check any document I send out in word too see if it looks OK.
really good point and in a perfect world we would have all have something like pdf as the standard. Instead the corporate world is dominated by microsoft, although I prefer a linux system for my own use

Open Office is best. :)
And Cedega and Codeweaver is shit. The wine is good.

I tend to convert everything I send out to pdf (which, of course, may not always be possible, if they want to work on it, too)
