To say it didn't copied from Half Life 2 ...would be hypocryte ... since it is the only game in which this kind of weapon appears!!! anyway excellent movie! there are a lot of things thats reminds me Half Life , 1) the general atmosphere of distopya 2) the theme of segregation of someone (in this case the aliens) 3) the way aliens easily interact with humans and with human's technology and vice-versa (was characteristical and typical of halflife2 game)
