Your piano playing gives me goose bumps! I watch your video almost every day! I am currently an adult in my 40s who started taking piano lessons 10 years ago and am currently in Grade 5 RC. You are very inspiring and I hope you continue to flourish! You need to be playing alongside Elton John at his next concert :)
Songs C and D are wonderful pieces of work. To my mind they evoke the memories of times past, of friends and relatives long since lost. The variations here feel like they are intended to add warmth and happiness to those memories.
What a travesty it is that mainstream entertainment is dominated by people like Simon Cowell when instead we could be enjoying maestros like Alex Nicoletto.
Hornsby's instrumental variations are some of the most under-rated works he has ever done, and you have done this particular one proud. Has definately inspired me to go back to that Grand sitting downstairs. =)
