@sackboy024 that is a bit risky since you have to watch out for enemy bastilas, mage, archers and dragon kin with magestone. Even if you manage to get to him make sure your at full health and equip your most powerful weapon, and defeat him in two hits since the sd can attack twice and deal about 38 damage per hit.

@Ichigo1423jfk Not only that, but once you go H2 or higher, Medeus can actually double attack Marth, which results in Marth dying unless he has max def(not happening without RNG abuse)and at least 51 HP (Marth needs an angelic robe as his max HP is 47 otherwise.)

I know it sucks, but that's life. At least Marth can't get doubled at max spd in FE12(Star Orb gives him 27 spd).

@stavrosmike Actually, your PE means shit. You saw plain as day that DH's Nabarl was able to cause 13 DMG a hit to Mediuth. My Nabarl was able to do 18 DMG with the Miracle Sword. My Barts could do over 20 DMG with the Hauteclere. Granted, they were AA'd and RNG abused, but still.

P.S: They should have given Medeus 99 HP/40 Def/Res so that you would HAVE to use Falchion.

But hopefully, with my planned party, I should make mincemeat out of the games. (It has Casual mode, by the way. No more resetting after my unit dies in the arena!)

Eh, I did a PT where I used only 5 guys, and I'm currently on Chapter 20. I did this on H2. While I had others on the team, they were there for utility/Jeigan purposes until my main team was strong enough.

I'm using Draug(general), Ogma(horseman), Barst(hero), Nabarl(paladin), and Merric(sage).

Lena(sage) and Xane are also used. Lena for Hammerne, thou.

I'm guessing that he had bad experience with Cain. To be honest, I sacrificed Cain on my first PT, as well. I later found out that he was a good character.

Admittedly, I stupidly lost Gordin, Vyland, and Castor before I deleted that file.

Nowadays, I intentionally kill units just to go to Gaidens(to get extra EXP and cool items/units). I usually don't do that.

He played on Normal. You can tell since he had Freyr and he sacrificed Kain.

P.S:This game's Normal Mode is pathetically easy(looks at 15 Def Draug tinking things on C10). If you want a 'normal' play, try playing Hard 2. I wouldn't advocate playing Hard 5 unless you were a godly tactician and knew good class swaps.

re: This is why. Enemy stats are ridiculous(looks at Ch2 pirates 2RKOing base Draug), and they get better weapons earlier(silvers and forges by C10? WTF?) Oh, and they get Braves by C20, which are forged in C25.

Best advice for H5 is to get a really tough general(Sedgar or RNG abused Draug is best). Another hint: You may need to use Jagen in the beginning. A lot.

@BballNintendo Sigh...that's a noobish question. Look, you need to upgrade your lance use with knights in order for them to wield strong lances. For example, say Frey has C in Lance Skill and you keep using iron lance and kill and fight. Eventually, you'll get to Class A in lance skill and be able to wield Silver Lances.

Knights carry lances, they just need their class upped. This is basic Fire Emblem.

DH is playing an EU copy of the game. You(and I) own NA copies of the game. So obviously, the translated names are different. Here is a chart of who's who:

How did you do it without getting Lena killed? If it was a final blow, I can understand, but you know right that Lena generally has 26-30 HP/5 Def with 17 Spd on top of that. She will get ORKO'd by Medeus(or anybody physical FTM). Compare that to Nabarl who can get 55 HP/13 Def or even Roger who gets 55 HP/30 Def.

Wow, you used up half your stat boosters to make one unit good? As for me, I would distribute my stat-boosting items to units who need them. Stuff like giving Speed wings to Knights or power drops to units that have low strength, like Shiida. I also like giving my Angel Robes to low HP units like Lena or Shiida. That's my advice.

FE3 Medeus is better (Look-wise). He is supposed to be an *Earth* dragon, on this one he looks like some normal one. In FE3 (And 1) he comes out of the ground.

They really only dropped his strength growth to 30% and halved his defense growth, making him slightly inferior to Raddy at 20/20(according to averages, but the RNG is a fickle thing, and I know what PEMN means).

I countered the lack of strength/defense by making Nabarl a cavalier while he was unpromoted(his growths/bases as a cav are comparable to Kain's).

Unfortunately, swordmasters were nerfed in this game. I forgot to add this, but SM's lost their 15% CH boost and were given a hit boost instead, and the way avoid works in this game, they aren't as dodgy since everything and their mother carries lances. I have no respect for SM's in this game and choose to use Cav>Paladin/Dracoknight for Nabarl.

I mean, swordmasters rocked in FE7(Guy and Karel FTW)and were top-notch in Radiance and the way avoid works, they were dodgy even against lances(Some Wyvern had a 40% hit rate against Mia with a Spear). Still, SD nerfed the avoid formula and made the game a lancefest.

That concludes my rant on SM's. Personally I think Heroes are better due to axes getting WTA on lances.

Yup. Jagen is only useful in the hard modes to weaken enemies with a silver lance. Of course, I just give it to Draug anyway(in my H2 run, Draug got a B rank in lances in C3 while he was wasting Hyman's hand axes; he had 14 Def at that time at Lv4, and he didn't get spd screwed, a prob I always had with Roger.)

I finally beat this chapter and boss on my gaiden run. Since I had Marth at Lv30 and my main army(Ogma, Navarre, Lena, Merric, Caeda, Abel, Frey, Horace, and Roger) all at Lv20(with a Lv15 Xane to boot), the level was fairly easy for me. Medeus himself was absolutely creamed by Ogma and Caeda.

Simply put it, this game is way too easy on NM. If you want a challenge try H5, or H3 at least. Good luck trying to take Braves without Zagaro/Wolf or an RNG abused Roger. The Mamkutes are also brutal(drools at Medeus' H5 stats, he has everything maxed out sans res.) and they actually have speed to double most of your units.

P.S: I kept all my endgame units in their original classes except for Lena, who I made into a sage after I promoted her. I also gave certain characters levels in different classes(Ogma as a pirate, Nabarl as a social knight, and Roger as a hunter) All in all, I was satisfied with my team.

1) Why can you not have Elena revive that person if they're dead?!

You select forge in between chapters when you're in the process of preparing and then work it out with the guy there. Simply set the stats you want for your weapon and pay up. I did this only twice for real good weapons because its SO expensive if you want to make legend-level weapons.

Actually, all of those units are great.

Sedgar and Wolf are the only non suckish prepromotes, due to their amazing growths. The suckish non promoted guys are people like Matthis, Roshea, Tomas and Macellan.

Wolf is like Seth from FE8, but Sedgar is more like....Marcus from FE6. I suppose Sedgar might be worth it in the long run if you pump him with stat items, but so can anyone....even Minerva. If you're doing a Gaiden, here's how to win.

Sedgar's growths are actually better than Wolf's. They both start bad, but become some of the best units at level 20 (not surpassing people like Catria, the three starting cavaliers, Merric, and Est), and they become even better as generals, when they get insane defense bonuses and HP growths.

And Horace and Ymir never turned out any good for me. Horace has bad HP for a general and Ymir has pitiful defense and speed.

Ymir is bad, but he is needed for Gaiden run through. Horace is extremely good, he's the only General in Shadow Dragon I respect and have. A seraph robe makes him unbelievably efficient.

Well, Ymir isn't technically needed for a gaiden runthrough, but it's nice to see a unit you didn't get on the first playthrough I guess.

And though Horace becomes a total tank with a Seraph Rope, pretty much anyone can, and charatcters like Roger, Dolph, General Wolf and General Sedgar don't need a Seraph robe to be tanks. But Horace isn't bad though. Maybe tied with Draug at least.

WHY did you make Cain the decoy? He can become really powerful,and even more so with Abel at his side!

Lol, Hardin is the most powerful knight. Frey is okay, but in the end he's not as good. Abel, Cain, and Jagen are the worst knights/paladins.
