That is wrong you don't hide under the table when there is earthquake you should get out of the building to an open field. People die in earthquakes because things fall on them, crushing them.

@tankengkor33 - If anything significant enough to hurt you fell on top of a table, it would cause the table legs to break and you'd be crushed under the table. Ask any earthquake rescue team and they will tell you that's how people die... the tables crush them when debris fall on the tables. What they do recommend is laying down in the isle between tables.  When the tables collapse there is room between them to keep the debris from crushing you. Table legs are not considered "load bearing"
