i dont get how this works, the game is renowned for the blood and the gore and testosterone and the shouting, all of which i like very much. However this song is very sad, very sensitive, i like it, its my girlfriends favourite song, and these two complete oposites work perfectly together. its art, it is brilliant, but you cant explain why, love it

Gears Of War 2 was a piece of shit. Gears Of War 1 was soooo much better. It's dark tone grittier world and the feeling of being alone. That what made Gears Of War so unique. Plus this song on the commercial made it 1000 times better. Full sadness oh great nostalgia . I hope Gears Of War 3 won't fail like Gears 2. Alot of trilogy games are getting ruin such as Halo. How does this video show how mad the world is? It's a video game. As a fan of Gary Jules & this song, it is disappointing to know that this song is so strongly associated with this video game. The two have nothing to do with eachother, & the song's use here only adds pseudo-drama & importance to war, while simultaneously desensitizing the viewers to the reality of what war really does to people in the real world. Agreed to an extent.Keep in mind in this game the whole world is at its last moment-they are literally fighting for their lives.Its so epic that they even have to free prisoners like Fenix, to take up arms against the Locust.Your back is up against the wall, everyone is dieing around you,memories fading,no children,no birthdays,Locust tunnels apearing everywhere,literally mad world.Hell even at the end of the game you find that everything you did was in vain- Locust are still coming out at you.
