Still some bugs, need a good configuration, but every adult pro-conan will like this online wonder ! Not a game like usual web-crap. Funcom did a marvelous job with Age of Conan !

If you go to a pvp server like fury, search for a good rank 3 guild and join the actual ingame economy, which is quite intensive, in order to expand the fight and your future raid discoveries. Keep in mind that AoC is particularly succinct without a premium account (less staff, less instances, less gaming options). Not the same fun...
I think the only downside with Age of Conan has to be the damn long travel time,especaly in Stygia,even with a horse XD. But this game is perfect nontheless in every respect,buy this if you wnat direct control of the combat,and enjoy how you brutaly slaughter your enemies :)

AoC Doesnt just have better graphics, it has a better history (I played all the Warcrafts, so yes i know the history for WoW), And it has a better combat system, in wow u can just sit back and relax, while in AoC you need to jump around and hit ppl from another site and then switch, and u can actually aim down the sight on a Bow in AoC.. i played wow for 4 years now, and i played AoC for a week or less, and just stopped at playing wow, cuz it was nothing against AoC.. in my oppinion : D

@Kekkiki You say u were the first lvl 80 pom but left almost immediatly... Expecting a game to be 100% Bug free from day one is just plain stupid... The game was buggy at the start, but it's been 18 months since release and the game has really improved! It's a brilliant game, I love both the graphics, the story, the gameplay and the fact that it's not depending on 13-14 year olds, like WoW.
Ive played WoW for some time now and find it to be gettin mindless and repetitive. Can ne one suggest from DDO, AOC, or WAR to try. something that doesnt require hours upon hours of the same grind.
Stop lieng to people, game has a superb graphic engine, very good and addictive combat system BUT absolutly no balance between classes therefore casters rule the game, and at lvl 80 theres nothing to do...boring boring....actually after lvl 20 the game is crap...to bad might have benn the best.
Almost forgot its instanced everywere, load after load after load which becomes anoying very quickly.
It's a great game, but different . I have played AOC and WOW, wow is mostly for kids that play 24/7 and hold no jobs. AOC is adult and casual player oriented with the best graphics in the history of gaming. Just the graphics is worth picking it up and they are improving the game a lot.I cannot wait for the expansion, WOTLK ( Wow ) was crap. cant believe they got an 8 score...and Cataclysm seems more of the same crap.I'm tired of world of carebears and a game that can be run on a calculator.
I played Age of Conan at launch and was the first Priest of Mitra to 80 on my server even though I was a casual player. There was absolutely NOTHING to do and people kept exploiting through (broken, I might add) instances to get full tier 1 gear. Then me and my guild grew bored of everything and just left. Never going back, the game had good atmosphere and was fun but it really lacked in content - which is why it now is long forgotten on the MMO market and generally just trash.
@mrchacko Well at the time it came out(AoC), it had the highest system requirements of any game. Now the time of his post, which was only 9 months ago, is highly debatable. Whether they are the best graphics or not ever, they are still amazing. Especially for an MMO.

hi whazat mate, if you choose age of conan you wont be dissapointed. What computer depends on what graphic settings you want to play on ofc. But to play with everthing maxed out in dx9 with a decent framerate i would say a quadcore 2,4 ghz processor, 3-4 gig ram, and nvidia gtx8800 or ati radeon 4870 1 gig
Not sure if it will work at all, if it does, you are going to want a better card anyways because it's not gonna do this awesome game any good... good luck!

When I say don't compare them I mean because they are so far from eachother. WoW has been out for ages, and therefore got more depth to it, questing wise, and at high lvls. AoC is the greatest game I've ever played, I've played WoW and got bored after a short period of time. Also AoC is a more mature game, 18+ etc, the two games are sooo far from eachother it's just stupid to compare them. I mean, WoW looks like a cartoon game for 8 year olds, come on? AoC is the greatest MMO ever made, just give it time, its only been out for a bit. WoW has been out for like 5 years or so and of course its gonna have less bugs, better gameplay and stuff because it has improved over years, but AoC is gonna top wow in a year or so.
wow was a gun game for a while but its so repetitive, the only posotive side was crushing annoying 13 year olds in PvP, AoC has a greater advantage, there are no so they dont need crushing

the only real dif is game play - this is a game u need to pay attention and not be a retard at the keyboard.
WoW is a timed attack so u can suck but still have a chance,

Ive played WoW for some time now and find it to be gettin mindless and repetitive. Can ne one suggest from DDO, AOC, or WAR to try. something that doesnt require hours upon hours of the same grind.

Stop lieng to people, game has a superb graphic engine, very good and addictive combat system BUT absolutly no balance between classes therefore casters rule the game, and at lvl 80 theres nothing to do...boring boring....actually after lvl 20 the game is crap...to bad might have benn the best.
Almost forgot its instanced everywere, load after load after load which becomes anoying very quickly.

It's a great game, but different . I have played AOC and WOW, wow is mostly for kids that play 24/7 and hold no jobs. AOC is adult and casual player oriented with the best graphics in the history of gaming. Just the graphics is worth picking it up and they are improving the game a lot.I cannot wait for the expansion, WOTLK ( Wow ) was crap. cant believe they got an 8 score...and Cataclysm seems more of the same crap.I'm tired of world of carebears and a game that can be run on a calculator.

I played Age of Conan at launch and was the first Priest of Mitra to 80 on my server even though I was a casual player. There was absolutely NOTHING to do and people kept exploiting through (broken, I might add) instances to get full tier 1 gear. Then me and my guild grew bored of everything and just left. Never going back, the game had good atmosphere and was fun but it really lacked in content - which is why it now is long forgotten on the MMO market and generally just trash.

@mrchacko Well at the time it came out(AoC), it had the highest system requirements of any game. Now the time of his post, which was only 9 months ago, is highly debatable. Whether they are the best graphics or not ever, they are still amazing. Especially for an MMO.

@Artemis0Entreri The underwater graphics are where this game shines in the graphics department or just water graphics in general they are some of the best I have seen still to this day they are unmatched some of the other graphics are great but wouldn't say best in history now this game has it's perks due to the adult content of the game and lets not forget fatalities are just so win makes you feel that much better about killing people.

I'm surprised you hav time to play between all the diaper changes you should need to keep up with your shit output. There's nothing wrong with cooperative play either. You should really quit MMO's, the mechanics all run on statistics and teamwork. Stick to the single-player shooters by yourself. The rest of us who like MMO's can look forward to trying AoC.

Thanks, buddy. You´re right. I´m playing PC for about 15 years and i´ve completed every important game. I thought i already had the best games installed on my new-2000€-hardcore-gaming-pc. But then i tried AOC... ... and what is this? ... It is definitely the BEST GAME OF THE WHOLE FUCKING UNIVERSE =o) It really is. Some reasons: Crysis-like-graphics, huge open-world and you have the chioce what to do next, horse-races, fights, exploring the world and and and .. FULL STOP

a kid is not determined by age, but what you do in life and your responsibilites. if your a 29 year old man that still lives with his parents or is a stay at home dad or mom and do not contribute to you family, or society than you are a kid. my cousin plays wow, she is a 32 year old kid who dropped out of highschool and has never had a job, has had 2 kids (giving one up for adaoption and the other back to his father only cause it cost her welfare money to take care of him.

hi whazat mate, if you choose age of conan you wont be dissapointed. What computer depends on what graphic settings you want to play on ofc. But to play with everthing maxed out in dx9 with a decent framerate i would say a quadcore 2,4 ghz processor, 3-4 gig ram, and nvidia gtx8800 or ati radeon 4870 1 gig

When I say don't compare them I mean because they are so far from eachother. WoW has been out for ages, and therefore got more depth to it, questing wise, and at high lvls. AoC is the greatest game I've ever played, I've played WoW and got bored after a short period of time. Also AoC is a more mature game, 18+ etc, the two games are sooo far from eachother it's just stupid to compare them. I mean, WoW looks like a cartoon game for 8 year olds, come on? It wud be better to compare it to Lotr tbh.

Than u havnt played AoC now, it has amazing enviorment and u can actually have an ambush etc except for on WoW where the cartoony world holds no secrets. Aoc player count increases faster than wows per day. and expansion coming up

AoC is the greatest MMO ever made, just give it time, its only been out for a bit. WoW has been out for like 5 years or so and of course its gonna have less bugs, better gameplay and stuff because it has improved over years, but AoC is gonna top wow in a year or so.
