Ive been wondering what that damn screaming noise is! I keep seeing a fox on my way home from work lately, and one of the damn things screams its head off every single night outside my window somewhere. @smetlogik I went outside for a cigarette this morning at 3 am (couldn't sleep) and my yard backs up to the woods...I normally have a mercury vapor light, but it's burned out, so it was DARK. I'm standing next to my pond just puffing away (like an idiot) and I heard THAT SOUND. I nearly tinkled myself. Ah, I wouldnt Be scared id Be curious sure if it was early in the morning id wake up and be a tiny bit of afriad but then calm look around get my slippers walk out and look outside im very curious and it is a Fox like barking... :-] howling barking whatever

I used to live in the middle of the forest when i was a kid, our nearest neighbors were like 5 miles away. I heard somewhat often this screaming from the woods at night. It always scared the shit out of me and i never knew what it was. It sounds a bit like a fox screamin, but the sound aint quite this high pitched. Does anyone have ideas what the animal could be?

i heard that noise like a week ago when i was at work. but i heard something else growling and it sounded like a bear. i think the bear was eating the fox alive.

i heard this cry last night ,woke me up and i described it to my friend as sounding like a cat that had been set on fire running around until the fire went out or it died. she said it was a fox and it was!

Ive been wondering what that damn screaming noise is! I keep seeing a fox on my way home from work lately, and one of the damn things screams its head off every single night outside my window somewhere. It sounds like a woman screaming at first until you listen closely. I'm not a violent man by any means by at times I wish I had a Rottweiler to track it down and have a polite word.

@smetlogik - YES! it happen to me last night. It was around 1 in the morning and I hear what it sounded like a woman screaming. I almost call the cops. Also I live in the woods so house are pretty far from each other. So I agree with you.

@smetlogik I went outside for a cigarette this morning at 3 am (couldn't sleep) and my yard backs up to the woods...I normally have a mercury vapor light, but it's burned out, so it was DARK. I'm standing next to my pond just puffing away (like an idiot) and I heard THAT SOUND. I nearly tinkled myself. I walked toward the back fence and realized that I had NO CLUE how big the animal is that was making that sound. I'm SO GLAD for your video!! I have seen TWO foxes since I moved here.

@smetlogik Yeah, I woke up in the middle of the night to that sound outside my sliding screen door last night. I was in a dead sleep and woke straight up with my heart pounding.
