Thank you this was very therapeutic. I've been feeling so much grief for so long now about the Gulf oil spill and now Fukushima, and finally I am crying it out. It's unspeakable how horrible these things are, you just kind of have to feel them through without really being able to express to others, who mostly don't understand, the tragedy.

It is very sad to see such a disaster. Another fine mess for the grandkids to blame us for! What can be worse? I'll tell you. Wildlife in the Nigerian Delta see this type of disaster regularly as oil companies battle with the rebels or its government. We don't hear about Nigeria's environmental disasters in the News, do we? Instead we hear celebrity gossip and pointless billions spent in the cosmetic celebrity industry. Shouldn't we start educating our children to care about their environment?

Yeah- we get it. Its about deregulation and a major relaxing of safety requirements specifically relating to automatic shut off valves on off shore oil rigs. Thats the sole cause of this calamity, our own government oversight & what happens when oil exploration gets driven off shore. The same government oversight that let the dot.com bust occur as well as the bank junk bond scandal. I could care less about whos running the ship at BP.
