  • Man, i used to see these guys every week at The Raffles and the South Perth Hotel. I think their first single was "No Fear of Flying". They used to do a lot of U2 and Tears for Fears covers those days. Andy was a real premature loss.

  • At his funeral people were coming though the gate asking were the funeral was and this guy said " Oh are you looking for that ROCK STAR'S funeral .... How Andy would of been backflipping and the amount of people there were a testament to his beautiful hear and sou.. Still today I miss him and I have a photo of him by my bed.

    I LOVE YOU ANY "HIPNEEDOO"

  • Thank you for posting this I cant believe its been 23 years since he passed. I was a very close personal friend of Andy's I shared a house with him and we became best buddies. We were in Sydney together when he got sick again and we advised him to go back home. Not long after he passed away. Its was the most devastating time of my life.

  • Look for the perfect strangers face book page.

  • @given2christ I'm looking now but keep getting another band of the same name from the UK.

  • @given2christ I keep getting the TV show in my searches.

  • OMG! I am so glad I found this. I loved this band but only found them near the end - saw them live a couple of times and was lucky enough to meet Andy. What a very special guy he was....

  • I went to school with Andrew, met up again in early 80's, a genuinely nice guy.

  • this band reminds me alot of INXS.

  • @candyhon1 Yes, Andy definitely had the Michael Hutchence thing going on.

  • I really enjoyed this blast from the past. Just a side note though, I think you will find that the bands lead singer was named Andy Clayton Smith, not Adam.

  • My goodnes, I am so glad I found this! I did not know of any video media that was available of Perfect Strangers. This is one of the very best original bands to come out of WA. I still know almost every word to every song, I have them on tape but am desperately trying to source this on CD! I saw these guys every Saturday night at the "Daily Planet"

  • @given2christ Me too. My friend and I used to try and see them nearly every Saturday night. We were addicted.

  • As this is a memorial tribute - I have upped it's rating... (Sadly though - this is ONLY "IN" MONO and thus for me - is not on my brilliant list - or on my "usual" run of the mill - surround_sound enjoyment videos... )
