@klars2000 I don' really think that is fair to say. The band isn't "freaking huge" because it's the same old pentatonic based guitar riffs that AC/DC has been recycling for the last 150 years. To me, this song is a fun little party jam at best with some high energy. Move a couple chords around, and you can play tons of other worn-out bar songs. The girls are talented, and made their buck. Nothing to feel sorry about. And, Ms. Robertson is smokin' hot and a great player, too.

That's no secret; they initially started as a sort of Ramones tribute band, with each of them adopting a stage name variant of 'Donna'. They dropped that gimmick after their 2nd album I believe, but if you check out their first two albums the Ramones influence is extremely obvious.

For the record I'm a fan of the band, their live shows are really fun, and it's nice to have a band that just plays some fun rock n' roll, instead of bordering on pretentiousness while trying to make a 'statement'.

@stultiloquy erm, did they ? I heard they started out as Raggedy Anne, then became The Electrocutes, then started playing as The Donnas. To diffrentiate between The Donnas and The Electrocutes they wore tee shirts on stage with their Donna stage name on (Donna A, Donna F etc.), before they dropped The Electrocutes name. Not heard any mention of The Ramones music apart from them being influenced by it.
