Damn,you'd swear Carlos is in the room....Probably about the best tone anyone could expect out of an electric guitar....Tone is subjectiive,but man if this ain't it.it's damn close!.Now to just get my '77 SG 1500 to sound as good as this ...Anybody want to sell me some spinex PUPs?
@asadinaengu : The guitar new (re-issue) costs around 3000 euro, I bought mine, which was from 1983 if I remember well, on ebay, you can get them for ~2000 euro, but they are super rare. If you find one, go for it, there will be months or years until you can find another one.

@asadinaengu I have the 1000 it's a fantastic guitar. I can only imagine the 3000 is even better stright through neck fantistic pick up, excellent playability and buckets of sustaiin. I'm starting to sound like i work for Yamaha lol (I don't by the way)

The y loos pretty much like sg3000, If I remember well, they do not have the abalon inlais on the body, like the sg3000. Other than that it should be the same, carved body, neck through construction, made in the 80's, what I am not sure is wether or not they have spinex PUPs. Anyways, must be a great guitar.
There si no comparison between those two guitars my friend. A Yamaha sg3000 surpass by far any Epiphone, the question would be, should I get a Gibson Les Paul Custom or a Yamaha sg3000, since they are in the same price range. And the answer would of course be...a Yamaha sg3000.

Should I go for a Yamaha Sg3000 or The Epiphone Les paul (slash signature series). As i am looking for a Hard Punching Tone from a guitar.
