I work for NYC's Transit System and i was actually saw the aftermath of the protest. Just the busted out windows and the red paint on the side of the building alone was a sight to see. The funniest thing is that there is a police precinct literally two avenues away from the protest. I'm just happy i didn't have to work in that area that day, it must have been a chaotic scene.

typhoonq, The CIA in Tibet is an old story. The Tibetans have been open about the whole issue; they, at that time, wanted help to counter Chinese invasion and the US agreed to help. There is nothing unusual about this as it's just like Russia's Stalin helping China's Mao to fight against the Chen Kai-Shek faction. (The difference being that Tibetans asked for help to drive out foreign occupation whereas in China, there was a civil war between the two factions led by Mao and Chen Kai-shek).
