I cried when the dog died

This is one of my all time favorite movies. The scene where goes looking for the dog is among the most intense scenes I've ever seen. I did like the ending, simply becuase I feel a movie like this needs a sad ending. btw to all those wondering about a sequel. It is being considered, and Will Smith has said yes to play his part again. It won't be a sequel however, but a prequil.

i highly enjoyed this movie even though i do see and agree with your points. to me the film really ran with smiths character which carried the movie and that was what entertained the hell out me along with what you had already mention. i was wondering, fury no one at the movies questions you walking around with a camera in the halls or even looked at you with it? or did you do it quickly when no one was looking? lol

This movie was so... bland. The only things I liked are Will Smith's performance and the convincing look of a deserted NY. The rest is just poorly made, especially the CGI monsters.

I agree. This movie was garbage. The jumping-scenes were just cliche and annoyed the hell out of me (no, I didn't jump once).

I personally dont think the CGI was the bad at all. Sure, you could definately tell they were CGI, but they are hardly as terribly as some people make them out be. I do agree the ending was weak as hell. The alternate ending was waaay better.

I don't know if you've noticed but I have an unexplainable affinity for Nicolas Cage. He has been considered for like EVERY movie and EVERY role so I like to photoshop him on everything.

i highly recommend the book (actually a novella), it was excellent. matheson's other stories are also great.

i thought the movie was quite good as well, but you're right- the infected resembled something out of a video game and the ending was something of a let-down.
