Ha. Starcraft Bw is like driving a manual transmission. Its a real mans game hard as hell. Apm and spamming does have a key to winning. It keeps you upbeat without having a deadspot about what do i do next. I can manage 160 apm SCBW. It is hard as hell. Fighting and macroing is a major skill. SC2 is automatic transmission newbie game. Its still a good game though
This PvZ is looking more and more like SC2. I used to follow pro BW a lot before SC2 came out, and now PvZ in SC2 is a lot about abusing mobility with warp-in and muta harass. Bisu used that same thinking to out-play Jaedong who seemed to be only going for early muta harass (using scourge for anti-air def). Bisu punished that using mobile units of his own: Speedzeals and archons supported by corsair. Very interesting!

broodwar is amazing and will always be special... Because of the masters who play it, and because it is such a fantastic game. SC2 is a great game, but it has a very different feel. I wonder what would happen if blizzard made an exact clone of scbroodwar just with more user friendly controls, better graphics, etc... but same feel and same units.

I said that, if protoss players stop wasting units trying to break zerg expansions, they could themselves expand, uptech and upgrade safely. Instead of rushing in like an idiot, Bisu feinted time and again, forcing Jaedong to build more defences at every expansion, slowing down his economy. End result: Bisu's macro more powerful.

But that is just minor detail. The main point is that Bisu did not kill himself trying to break Jaedong's expansions. He broke off most of his attacks to save units, and expanded. He had 3 expansions to Jaedong's 3. When protoss has equal expansions with zerg that = dead zerg.

After watching this I concluded SC2 is like playing with neutral-colored Play-Doh while BW is like colorful Legos. The latter makes a better competitive game.

@vicioso82 I forced myself to play a fair bit of SC2 and I think some potential to be not-mediocre is there, but still no BW. I was thinking about the biggest differences is that BW is almost accidentally perfect and made so by the fan-base; because the fansmade the game it *might* happen to SC2. While sprites > 3D for RTS any day.
The biggest thing I've noticed is attack speed in SC2 is far too fast. Think of massive dragoon battles and the micro there. That micro is flat out gone in SC2.
@Rolacon unforchunantly, this could never be the case, as Bw graphics could never incorperate things like reaper jetpack, collosi cliff-walking, as well as all the other fine tunes that blizzard did to sc2 to make the game function more smoothly

broodwar is amazing and will always be special... Because of the masters who play it, and because it is such a fantastic game. SC2 is a great game, but it has a very different feel. I wonder what would happen if blizzard made an exact clone of scbroodwar just with more user friendly controls, better graphics, etc... but same feel and same units.

Sweet. Bisu has demonstrated the point I made on another PvT video. I said that, if protoss players stop wasting units trying to break zerg expansions, they could themselves expand, uptech and upgrade safely. Instead of rushing in like an idiot, Bisu feinted time and again, forcing Jaedong to build more defences at every expansion, slowing down his economy. End result: Bisu's macro more powerful.
Jaedong played excellently, but Bisu masterfully.

xxbluejay21, get your eyes fixed. Bisu's first attacks used a dragoon, zealots and corsairs, no archon. First archon attack didn't really do much. Second archon attack was a drop in the main.
But that is just minor detail. The main point is that Bisu did not kill himself trying to break Jaedong's expansions. He broke off most of his attacks to save units, and expanded. He had 3 expansions to Jaedong's 3. When protoss has equal expansions with zerg that = dead zerg.

The fact that JD went muta first and delayed his ground army and yet could not put those mutas to use since there were so many corsairs and all his scourge were wasted was the reason why the ground army of bisu did so much damage to jaedong's 3rd base.

@vicioso82 I forced myself to play a fair bit of SC2 and I think some potential to be not-mediocre is there, but still no BW. I was thinking about the biggest differences is that BW is almost accidentally perfect and made so by the fan-base; because the fansmade the game it *might* happen to SC2. While sprites > 3D for RTS any day.
The biggest thing I've noticed is attack speed in SC2 is far too fast. Think of massive dragoon battles and the micro there. That micro is flat out gone in SC2.
