@lslmo2 Yes this is unfourtately the "side effect" of apples new firmwares. If you download Emoji from the app store (the actually apples app store) their is a icon with signal bars you can try that or SSH some into your iPod.

@jamamike20 You have to jailbreak it FIRST then watch this tutorial. It's kind of confusing. Plus with all these apple updates they are doing the best they can to block the trick :(

@RRMoulton1 If you can jailbreak your iOS 4 then yes. The only thing is that I found out is that some Winterboard themes conflict with this trick. So try this first before installing winterboard. if you already have winterboard then remove it or turn all themes off.

I no longer have a Jailbroken iPod Touch. Because of the jailbreak it slowed down and then I could not unlock it. This video tutorial is safe I just have an old iPod. I just upgraded to an iPhone 3GS with more space but I have no plans to jailbreak it but check out my new iPHONE VIDEOS!!

@Applefan222 You have to SSH into your iPod and change the icon the icon will be labeled icon.png (PNG FORMAT!) you can change it to whatever you want!

@35Norton Hello everyone! I would be glad to put up a tutorial. Well I got my iPod back to the iPhone state. I got the ACTUAL icons from the iphone so it now looks more like the iPhone! Also in my tutorial I will also show you how to get Voice Control, and Compass. So now you can have an iPhone 3GS!! Also try downloading 3G wifi for winterboard it is very cool!

OK so i have got the ipod icon to show up but, when i go back in to Mim to leave the blank and hit carrier it goes back to ipod

@35Norton Apple has fixed this so instead of getting AT&T with bars it goes back to iPod. You can type in AT&T and then go to cydia and download signal bars for itouch. These signal bars will represent your WiFi.

You have to go to SSH find the application. Then take the image you want (must be in .PNG format) and drag it into the apps folder. It must be named icon.png. Then if it asks to overwrite the existing file (if it doesnt ask then you are doing something wrong) press Yes. Then reboot and it changed. To change text use Rename or Rename 2 (rename II) from Cydia

@allstarkidXD They Camera app does not work. I forgot to include this. All it does is when you open it, you select a a existing photo in your album and it lets you turn it black and white. I just downloaded BW camera from the app store and changed the icon and name.
