Whatever man when I was in management for a few years. Sure we could enter in the code to remove you from the list however it didnt take effect right away the dialer had to cycle through your number 1-2 more times. The dialer would disco the call b4 it rang but it still pulled it and tried to call it. Thats why callers are supposed to read the DNC disclosure incase the dialer doesnt disco the call and pulls your number by mistake.
Listen, the reason I don't want telemarketers calling is because they are often interrupting me in the middle of something... and your advice is for me to have to sit there and listen to the who spiel and tell them "no" umpteen times ... as IF it's really going to stop telemarketers from trying again?I shouldn't have to go through all the BS to have privacy in my home. I'll let you in on a little secret. Supervisors don't really give a damn. I'm a telemarketer, and this one lady was bitching at me to take her off the list. So I just ignored her and continued the pitch. Then she asked to speak to my supervisor, so I called him over. After he got done talking to her, he was like "Man, what a bitch."
If people are assholes, they get put down as "answering machine" and get called the next day.
Here is a tip. Don't expect me to have sympathy for a telemarketer and concern myself with "they could get fired" or "they must mark it as 'not pitched'". They are calling ME and intruding on MY privacy...and I will do any and everything to make it as unpleasant as possible for them. If they get fired, so much the better. How's THAT for a tip?

1) Interrupt the sales pitch, constantly yelling and demanding a phone number and address. Never hang up, keep interrupting.
2) If it's a woman telemarketer, treat it like a phone sex call. "Are you fingering yourself? Do you like it hard?" etc.
3) If it's a male telemarketer, do like Hannibal Lecter to his cellmate and talk him to death: "How are you going to kill yourself? Blow your head off with a gun? Swallow Drano?" etc.
The good thing bout being bilingual is that if they call u in english you can pretend u dont speak english and if its in spanish well u pretend you dont speak spanish. Its awesome.
Advice: Decide to become something in life and enroll in a university. If you can't afford it, try a community college. And if that's too hard, go to a technical college and learn a trade. At least you can be a considered someone who contributes to our society instead of a low paid parasite.

Thats just what they tell you to get you off the phone. They still have to let you number cycle out of their system cause it is a computer automated dialing system. I was a telemarketer for 10 long years. It was really good money compared to most of the crap jobs in my crappy little town where you bust your butt for minnimum wage.

Whatever man when I was in management for a few years. Sure we could enter in the code to remove you from the list however it didnt take effect right away the dialer had to cycle through your number 1-2 more times. The dialer would disco the call b4 it rang but it still pulled it and tried to call it. Thats why callers are supposed to read the DNC disclosure incase the dialer doesnt disco the call and pulls your number by mistake.

Listen, the reason I don't want telemarketers calling is because they are often interrupting me in the middle of something... and your advice is for me to have to sit there and listen to the who spiel and tell them "no" umpteen times ... as IF it's really going to stop telemarketers from trying again?I shouldn't have to go through all the BS to have privacy in my home. At the very least, I can get some satisfaction in making them suffer as much as they are making me suffer.

now, the telemarketers know how we get rid of them.
they have automated messages that start as soon as you answer the phone.
but this also means something else, there is no way you can just say "No" and hang up.
but, something good comes out of it too, they have an option, usually after their message, to push a number on the phone to buy the product or push another number that will get you removed from their list.

I'll let you in on a little secret. Supervisors don't really give a damn. I'm a telemarketer, and this one lady was bitching at me to take her off the list. So I just ignored her and continued the pitch. Then she asked to speak to my supervisor, so I called him over. After he got done talking to her, he was like "Man, what a bitch."
If people are assholes, they get put down as "answering machine" and get called the next day.

Here is a tip. Don't expect me to have sympathy for a telemarketer and concern myself with "they could get fired" or "they must mark it as 'not pitched'". They are calling ME and intruding on MY privacy...and I will do any and everything to make it as unpleasant as possible for them. If they get fired, so much the better. How's THAT for a tip?

How to deal with a telemarketer:
1) Interrupt the sales pitch, constantly yelling and demanding a phone number and address. Never hang up, keep interrupting.
2) If it's a woman telemarketer, treat it like a phone sex call. "Are you fingering yourself? Do you like it hard?" etc.
3) If it's a male telemarketer, do like Hannibal Lecter to his cellmate and talk him to death: "How are you going to kill yourself? Blow your head off with a gun? Swallow Drano?" etc.

When - not if - the supervisor calls back, interrupt that person, again by yelling, for five minutes.
Whent the supervisor is angry and frustrated, continue to advocate the person commit suicide. Do so until they hang up or start crying.
It works, trust me. They may not end up committing suicide, but they stop calling.
Above all, never threaten because it's illegal. Be loud and obscene, which is legal.

Advice: Decide to become something in life and enroll in a university. If you can't afford it, try a community college. And if that's too hard, go to a technical college and learn a trade. At least you can be a considered someone who contributes to our society instead of a low paid parasite.

Not to worry folks, My goal in life is to be a pilot. I am very aviation oriented and right now I am just using my so called sucky job right now to help me stay afloat and get me over the hump once i get better footing after basic training and military tech school. I will be pursuing a college degree and will be finishing up my pilot training in the coming years.

I get telemarketers calling me all the time. Many of them ask me to donate from 75 to 150 dollars to some "Charity". Ya right like I am just gonna fork out 150 dollars out of my wallet over the phone! Idiots! I just say "NO" and hang up.

I used to give to two particular groups, but stopped after they started selling my name.
I went down to their office and made them give me my money back. Whether or not I used physical means to do so, I can't legally say.

Hey man. I don't know if you knew, but if you use the wrong name when making a solicitaion call, then you can be prosecuted big time. 16 or not, they'll get you for it. It's important that you use your real name. Especially if you're calling across state lines, that makes it a federal offense. Be careful man!
