haha yep I just visited this place the other day! and i agree with the last comment those cockatoos are amazing! and hilarious! I had one walk up to me and say "I love you!" lol! If I didn't live 45 mins away I would probably go there every day - seriously. SBBS and their mission are amazing, and deserve all the help they can get.

I take my six year old son there and he is so touched by the birds that pluck themselves that he will cry at home about it, and I have to explain that they are in the best possible place and are happy now. We adore Frida she is a lover and all the cockatoos in the big cage are so much fun! We love them all!
I was just there today! It is an awesome place. It's the only place I would ever board my birds and it's where I buy all the toys! (They have the best selection) If you are ever in Summerland, California you should definitely stop by and visit the sanctuary birds.
so they do adopt parrots out? I saw Betty Boop on the website and i wanted her hahaha
