A difficult game! Ha, now I see Shredder is hidding in the t.v. set all the time.

He was so close, ha ha, you can clearly see his hand moving in front of the t.v. set at: 6:29.

He is hiding in the t.v., moving his hand outside it (detail joke sorry!)

But this is quite a difficult game, if you lost Donatello, you where doomed, as I remembered.

My brother finished this game and I remembered that he was cursing those white space flyers near the end of the game (in the corridor) all the time!

At 9:25 if you just fall into the water you can avoid going through the whole rest of that building and shave off a lot of time.

recording a speed run i'm not sure i would considering doing this because some Video

Game Referee's would in fact consider this a mistake

even if it does speed up the process in a No Death Run of TMNT for the

@xISOmaniac You are one of the best speedrun players I've ever seen. This teenage mutant ninja turtles video 1 here, i'm guessing it really is impossible to make it through that narrow electrical seaweed area where you took 2 squares of damage, that was the ONLY area you took damage in so far.

Whether or not you already saw AVGN's and Irategamer's review of NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, see both videos again. They show the underwater level and mention it's damn near impossible to survive.

I've seen most of the videos out there on youtube about this game not all but most

and yes this level is very challenging i surprised even myself that i didn't take a bit more damage

this is the best I've ever done which is why this video was chosen for upload after running it so many times

i have yet to complete this level with no damage and i've never seen a video out there or speedrun of someone who has either.

The AVG/IG thing is just meant for fun. Getting through the underwater level without taking damage is almost impossible but beating the stage is not that hard, after all it´s only the third stage in the game. It nowhere the level of legendary hard, i don´t remember anyone having a real problem with that stage back in the day.

you r the best speed player of this game I have ever seen. But the jump in stage three where you got the bombs for the turtle van instead of running across the gap up top you jumped from down below. i've tried this and can't do it for some reason. Is there sumthin i'm doing wrong?

p.s. at 7:27 when you first change to donatello that balloon cant hurt you, save time by not killing it :p otherwise f - ing amazing!!!!

That’s right no tools cheats or anything that would defeat the purpose of a speed run is done in any of my videos

Anything I do in any of my speed runs is part of the game

As for the part of the video you spoke of at 7:43

I’m petty sure your expected to go back down the latter and back up quickly if you do not there is no way to avoid taking damaging period.

Load the game up yourself to find out it’s a fact there are many

Places they did this in the game especially near the end

@xISOmaniac That underwater level really is impossible to avoid taking damage, isn't it? You're one of the nest speedrun gamers I've seen and even you took damage, 2 squares of energy.

Even if you're already seen Irategamer's and Angry Video Game Nerd's review of this game, watch them again. They both mention this level and how (quote from Irategamer= "They made it damn near impossible.") hard it is just to make it through that stage.

Perhaps NO ONE can finish that stage unscathed, huh?

As for the balloon 7:27

Regardless I always switch to Donatello at this point because when

I get to the top floor I use him for the flame enemy and the jump to get the missiles

I still could have killed the balloon with Michelangelo if I wanted to but

I figured id rather do both kill and switch quickly to the next turtle I wanted

Because don't forget after that balloon is an enemy that might take up to much time killing using Michelangelo so I think I made the right right decision

@somoskarma i think he's referring to the trick of being able to jump up right there, rather than go through the entire room and back... which isn't a cheat, i've done this before too, but I cant' remember how to do it consistently... do you wait until the turtle is at the top of the jump to push left on controller... or is that you jump in a spot that overlaps the overhang??

@somoskarma There are 7 places where you can pull a jump like that of 7:43 throughout the game. I'm not sure if they are glitches, but you can just do it.

@juke52 after that you fight the technodrome, then go inside(nightmare) and fight shredder. you were right at the end! i got the technodrome down to a half life bar and died. scarred for life

You just ruined my childhood. I never owned this game, but i played it a lot with friends when i was kid, i remember we felt like we were lucky if we get past the water level. It feels like you're telling me santa claus is real, that he never gave me a jetpack because he hated me, and that he raped my whole family while driving a jetpack with my name on it.
