well you can be reaaaally cheap with an emulator. just save your game file under "file" and "save game" to any slot, then if you die, just end the turn and try again by loading that file. this way, theres no way anybody can die because you can just reload the data from where you last left off. including the fact that you can fast forward too.

RNG= Random Number Generator.

In the GBA FEs, every time you start a chapter the game makes several Random Numbers. These numbers are placed into a list and every time something needs to be decided (hit, crit, levelup stat gains, etc) it takes the first random number on the list. After that number is taken it takes the second, then the third, so on and on. Whenever you turn off the game it saves the random numbers, so you can't reset over and over hoping that this time your Hector won't die.

At least PoR and RD had some initiative, and made the final chapter a real level, or made the boss untouchable for several turns and had the minions arrive by themselves, and if the final boss died She REVIVED unless you did the right thing at the right time

Lol, Ashera was INSANE. You had to kill like 9 auras that had a lot of health, and unless you had Nihil, did half the damage you did to it to yourself. And there was the elemental spirits that were damn powerful. Ashera has a weapon with 50 MT plus her magic. (Jesus) And she can damage all of the units on the screen with one attack. On top of 120 health. Lol, formortiis would piss his pants on sight of Ashera.

I forgot the details, but all my units that had enough power to actually damage ashera and not die had already used their turn, I needed to do enough damage so next turn I could kill her with Ike, and she was going to regenarate health, so i'd have to do that shit again. So I attacked her with edward, he got killedn next turn. He will not die in vain. ike killed Ashera following and it was over.
