I looked forward to this song since 1997 when I heard it on a live recording as a work in process. This version gave me chills when I first heard it after downloading the Lillywhite sessions. The Busted Stuff version is okay but nothing compared to this version. This marked the end of DMB songs as we knew it and what a way to go out.

This is even older than the LWS. I have it from some taper CDs from years before LWS.. I remember the lyrics were slightly different, particularly that it went like this, "eyes, eyelids and kissing lips" instead of how they did it here. I always loved this one, and I really wasn't into what they did to it for BS.

Thanks for posting this! I hate the Busted Stuff version of this song; its too happy happy joy joy. This is the real shit. Thanks again! I'd buy this if they released it as is; no crossfades etc.!!! Idk who leaked these sessions but that person wanted all of us to hear it. I loooooooove the lillywhite sessions. Monkey Man needs to be busted out asap!
