I had to comment on Mel Kiper Jr. I don't watch football, but I just saw this jerk on ESPN, and he's one of the biggest pricks here on earth. He's got some real emotional problems because whenever he stops talking he can't sit still without shaking really badly. I'd say that's the sign of a pretty disturbed person - you can't sit still without shaking really badly, unless you have Parkinson's which I'm pretty sure Mel doesn't have.

Kiper evolved though. he made the connections in the league and although he he isn't a great scout, he knows the right people and is one of the most connected ppl at espn (up there with schefter). McShay has shied away from doing this and this hurts him. I usually go to Daniel Jeremiah; used to b a scout.
@slev09. Biggest problem I have w/McShay is this "I'm better than you - the fans" attitude he sports while he's on TV. McShay gets booed on draft day by NY fans & he walks by them by either cupping his ears, listening to his iPod, pretending he's on his cellphone or something. He's even reportedly given NY fans the finger while walking by. I heard this from NY friends who've been there before or have friends that go there. Some ppl can say that Kiper's cocky but at least he doesn't do that crap.

I like the work ethic of Mayock more but i agree more with the opinions and the ideas of Kiper. for example, Mayock thinks Earl Thomas is better than Eric Berry...I just don't see it (measurables, production, intangibles). He is entitled to his opinions and he does his HW but I disagree with him more than with kiper.
@slev09 Well time will tell with Thomas and Berry, I use to diss him because of the McFadden criticism and the Matt Ryan love, but he was right about both of them. He was also right about JaMoron Russell not having enough love for the game, meanwhile I was happy with the pick.
@CityofgunzNrosez If I remember correctly, Kiper wasn't as high on DMC as some. Kiper definitely missed on russell too, but if you look back, he is about as accurate on guys as mayock. I like mayock but that doesn't mean Kiper is bad.

Mayock had russell second, over Thomas and Peterson. Mayocks prediction was that Russell would be a star and could be the best strong armed QB since elway. Kipers prediction was that Anthony Spencer would surprise which he has done...and their sleepers for that year? Kipers are faring much much better.

@jhall025 I understand that, I've seen enough film of both players, in my opinion i feel Berry is better. But they are a close 1 and 2, Mayock's opinion about two great safeties doesnt make him stupid. I also feel Thomas is a bit more instinctive, but Berry is still the better all around safety.

I know I compaired the last 3 NFL drafts to Todd Mcshay's and Mel kipper's mock draft and they get the first two right and most of the rest wrong.They need to learn how to analyze a draft.We need some real people to take their jobs that acually care.

@CityofgunzNrosez mayock gives the effort and watches more tape than either guy but he is still in my mind just an amateur scout. i would rank him right up there with kiper. I like the work ethic of Mayock more but i agree more with the opinions and the ideas of Kiper. for example, Mayock thinks Earl Thomas is better than Eric Berry...I just don't see it (measurables, production, intangibles). He is entitled to his opinions and he does his HW but I disagree with him more than with kiper.

@CityofgunzNrosez If I remember correctly, Kiper wasn't as high on DMC as some. Kiper definitely missed on russell too, but if you look back, he is about as accurate on guys as mayock. I like mayock but that doesn't mean Kiper is bad.
Jamarcus' problem may not be love of the game but the fact that he just sucks and doesn't get it.

@CityofgunzNrosez by the way, I went back and found some stuff they said in 2007. Kiper ranked the prospects, Megatron, Joe Thomas, Peterson, Then russell. Mayock had russell second, over Thomas and Peterson. Mayocks prediction was that Russell would be a star and could be the best strong armed QB since elway. Kipers prediction was that Anthony Spencer would surprise which he has done...and their sleepers for that year? Kipers are faring much much better.

@slev09 No dude, Kiper said that in 3 years Russell will be a top 5 QB. Mayock always criticized Russell, said he questions his love for the game and his work ethic. I remember I use to hate Mayock because he bashed on McFadden and Russell, and gave so much praise to Matt Ryan when I disagreed with everything he said, Turns out he was right about all of them.

His reasoning for liking thomas more, is because he thinks hes more instinctive and a better tackler. Mayock has been more correct with the players comin out in the past, then either Kiper or McShay have.

@jhall025 I understand that, I've seen enough film of both players, in my opinion i feel Berry is better. But they are a close 1 and 2, Mayock's opinion about two great safeties doesnt make him stupid. I also feel Thomas is a bit more instinctive, but Berry is still the better all around safety.

Reason why ESPN's ratings are in the toilet is b/c they hired dufuses like Todd McShay & Skip Bayless. McShay's last name oughta be McFake. BTW a couple of yrs ago McShay & Kiper had to be separated during the NFL Draft b/c the 2 nearly got into a fistfight. That's why you rarely see em on the same cam together.
