very nice cool tank an fish.

    congratulations

  • Super Räuber Becken !

  • could you keep any loach with a malawi cichlid

  • very nice collection. check out my 125 gallon

  • I shouldn't look at these videos.. they make my tank look well crud.

I know you've probably been asked a thousand times before, but did you make the background or buy it? its immense!

  • @matage It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

  • how many gallons is it ?

    esta fregona !!!!!

    is so nice !!!

  • how do u get such vibrant colours out of these fish?? is it from the particular fish food u feed them or from the dark background which shows up the colours? i have been recently tryin to get intense colouring out of my fish but it doesnt seem to be workin suggestion would be really good thanks.

  • @thefishguy69 I feed them Aquatic Nature pellets for colour.

  • @wietzebron99 is spectrum Thera + A any good for improvin colour this is what i have recently been feedin mine

  • @thefishguy69 I have no experience with that product.

  • @wietzebron99 ok thanks for your help any way

  • You seem to know a lot about Cichlids, so I was hoping you could help me. I want to purchase Pseudotropheus Acei and yellow labs. Do you think these two Cichlids would be able to live in the same tank? I have a 70 gal. tank and I was hoping to buy 2 of each or 5 of each (1 male 4 females). Will they be able to survive together? thanks.

  • I think it would be best to put 5 of each together to spread the agression. Acei becomes rather large for 70 gallon, maybe you should choose Maingano or such.

  • @wietzebron99 thanks.

  • @kohinoor786 itl work for sure, i breed acei yellow tail and yellow labs and demasoni all in the same tank, numbers are 12 demasoni, 1m/2f yellow lab and 1m/3f acei

  • what is the place that you are getting these fish?? I used to get mine from armkes, but it has since changed to daves rare african cichlids!!! But your fish are the best maybe that i have ever seen in the hobby!!

  • Nice workrock.. Did you do it yourself or buy it custom to the tank or what? And how big is the tank, it looks huge. One of the best iv ever seen seriously. Good job mate.

  • It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

    The tanks dimensions are:

    350 x 80 x 80 cm =

    138 x 31.5 x 31.5 inch =

  • I WANT

  • by far the best looking tank ive seen....did you get your fish online? theres so many fish in this tank that ive been looking for but cant find in local fish stores

  • I bought the fish in specialized shops that import them from lake Malawi.

  • Insane!!

  • Really good selection! I've got three questions-first: What's the blue male at 0:50-Buccho. lepturus? and second: wich sticks do you use exactly? i take JBL Stick M. Do you use any kind of colourfood sticks? I ask cause i've never seen such a blue like your cichlids show-amazing! and third: what kind of lightning tubes do you use? Thank you forward for your answers....

  • At 0:50 you can see the Boccuchromis Rhoadesii and at 1:38 you can see the Buccochromis Lepturus. At the moment I also have the Buccochromis Heterotaenia in this tank (not in the video). The sticks I feed are from Aquatic Nature Excel (containing natural astaxanthine and spirulina for color). My lightning tubes are from Aqualight ( 3 x aquastar and 3 x grolux).

  • This is the most contrived background Ive ever heard/seen!

  • awesome predator tank..does anyone know where i can find lepidiolamprologus lemarii a rare predator from Lake Tanganyika it would be a great addition to my 265 gal predator tank??

  • beautiful tank...5*

  • No, they have plenty of space.

  • Exochochromis Anagenys

  • It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

  • I just came back from Malawi, from a lake-side resort. Yes, you can see these beautiful cichlids in great numbers in nature. Malawi people eat the bigger ones- 8-10 inches+ which are called "Chambo". Nice white flesh- best battered and deep fried but a little bony.

  • so u can keep all cichlids in 1 tank and they dont eat each other?

  • @Ramon7948 less than bite size yes.

  • @Ramon7948 why should they? they have enough space

  • huge electric blues

  • SUPER !!!!!!!!!

  • cool tank but its not his it belongs to the place where they are havng the people perfprm music

  • It's in my own living room, don't worry.

  • hey check my Malawi tank out

  • Is this Slayer in the back :). Great fishes, are those real rocks or fake?

  • It is a kind of background with special modules called Back to Nature.

  • PS I wish you would show your whole tank!! :-)

  • Your tank is the best cichlid set-up I've seen so far. Can you get the Back to nature Decor in the US? Awesome!!!!

  • nice backround dude

  • 3 female nimbo living and 1 male? if that male is the one i know it is.. hes huge. how many gallon is this? 250?

  • 1 male/2 female; 592 gallon

  • Killer cichlid tank, crap music.

  • I cannot get over how awesome that tank is. You did a great job. Best cichlid tank on youtube.

  • Thank you very much.

  • I wouldnt dare to put some Aulonacara's in that tank...at least not as new fish. Im very impressed by your Fryeri.

  • Or what about Dimidiochromis compressiceps? You can't have a Malawi predator tank without those!

  • Get some Lethrinops - they look awesome! Although your nimbos or sciaenos might eat them.

  • I agree they are beautiful, but they are also to vulneralble for my tank. I kept the Lethrinus sp. Red Cap Itungi in a spare tank and had some fry of it.

  • What about some of the larger Aulonocara?

They might be able to survive some of the 'big guys' you have.

  • what is the fish at 0:45 at top right corner?

  • i think u r lookin at a Champsochromis caeruleus... i got one in my tank but still a baby tho.

    check my tank. :-)

  • When I want the fry I catch the female with the fry still in the mouth and put her in a backup tank. Then she look after the fry some weeks.

  • I didn't make it myself. I puzzled it together. It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

  • very nice tank, what didi you make the background out of? did you make it?

  • It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

  • Just if you´re interested I have always preferred the JBL NOVO RIFT. It´s very well known and frequently used here in Germany. Preferred to feed Tropheus varieties and wide range of Malawi fish (inclusive predators). Maybe you´d like to check it out!

    Best regards and wishes!!

  • would really like to see your catfishes!!!!

  • beautiful!!! What are you doing against algues??

  • I have 3 catfish. I know they do not belong in lake Malawi, but they keep my background clean, and that's why I keep them anyway..

  • ah nice! What kind are these and why they are not on the video? You´re right they can fit as long the water is in good condition. That´s the case with your tank anyway!!

  • Nice Tank Man

  • AWESOME!!!

  • maybe its to late... :( ´how big are they?

  • maculiceps, anagenys, rostratus, livingstoni, venustus... my opinion is that they have growm way to much in hight... that normaly comes from feeding with to much protein.

  • I will try to slow down a bit.

    See what will happen.

  • by deform i mean what the boby grows to much in hight... sorry my lousy english...

regulary breeding is not always i sign that your fishes are doing well, wen we are talking malawi... if theres water they breed...

  • Especially with the predators it is said when they are overfed they have more trouble with getting offspring. Did you see a particular fish that was not looking good to u?

  • they get large anyways...only a matter of time...

my opinion is that they will get deform by 2 heavy feeding.

what are you feed with? sticks probely!?

  • I mean I don't want them to have a growth arrears, like you often see. I feed them mussels, shrimps, smelt, krill, artemia and red mosquitoe larves for 50% and for the other 50% pallets and protein granulates.

Do you think I overfeed to heavy or just a little bit. I think my fish look rather healthy. They are also spawning very regularly.

I have never had any deformed fish. I already keep Malawi's for 25 years.

Thanks anyway for your reaction. I appreciate your comments.

  • your fishes are a bit chubby aint they?

  • They are indeed well fed.

I want them to get large.

  • fantastic set up.

  • Absolutely amazing tank set up and ultra beautiful fish!

  • your tank is beautiful

  • mooie bak

  • your tank is very special, i've never seen anything like it, but i don't like one thing about the video. THE MUDIC IS INAPPROPRIATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You sir, got some badazz africans!

  • where did you get background?

  • What do you feed them? and how do you do gravel cleaning? siphon manually?

  • Great setup! Best background I've seen yet,and I've seen alot!!!!! Can't go wrong with Slayer either.

  • I didn't make it myself. I puzzled it together. It is a "Back to Nature" background with "Back to Nature" modules.

  • Did you make the rock background? Tank is sharp!

  • mooi filmpje met bijpassende muziek :)
