These pancakes suck hard. Any fool knows that a complete mix where you just add water is inferior to ANY other method. Now, Aunt Jemima Buttermilk Pancake mix used to be the standard by which all other mixes were measured. The old recipe used 4 different flours: wheat, corn, rye, and rice. Also included in the mix were powdered buttermilk, sugar, msg (yup), soybean oil, and a few other things. You added milk, egg, and oil. This mix is excrement. And this video is lame.

@Tintamar5678 Perhaps I was harsh due to my love of the pancake and the loss of my beloved Aunt Jemima Original Buttermilk. They ruined the recipe by eliminating 3 of the 4 flours some years ago now and it depresses the hell out of me. I've been trying to duplicate it and am very close. The rice flour adds no taste - just browns nicely. The wheat, rye, and corn flours are where the flavor resides. I think the rye flour is the key, as it adds richness. Fresh buttermilk and these 3 are awesome.

I ran into your video looking for something similar to my own research, but all I ever come up with are videos of people either using just wheat flour by itself and the rest of the basic ingredients, or people such as yourself making them out of a box mix! Frustrating. When I find the proper ratios, I'll make a video and share the recipe. Maybe.
