i don't have an opinion on this video... but if you want a right and wrong kind of deal... then that first exercise is very (wrong)... definitely rake

Connor, there is no right or wrong way to play, I'm just showing you an exercise that A very well known Bassplayer taught me, and now I'm passing it on, and this is an exercise, it's not a way to "correctly" play that very sequence, it's just an exercise, learn it, and you will find yourself using that way of playing in various possitions, making it easier to do certain things.. anyhow.. nevermind, thanks for your comment.

i completely understand the fact that there are different ways of playing, and like you, i'm just passing on mine, i find raking to be more useful, and that's all i was trying to say and i'm sorry if i offended you or anything like that. (by the way, i noticed that you're playing on an ibanez sr506 (i think) if you get a chance, check out the prestiges... they're magnificent)

Hehe, of course, I just made that exercise like that so it would be easier to understand for beginners. I would rake on that melody aswell, but in other positions, trust me, this thing is great, like when skipping strings and so on. And yeah, I do play on an Sr506bm, but i'm moving on to bigger things then Ibanez, Waiting for my Tobias Classic to arrive ;) 6 str, best bass ever made in my opinion.. :-)
