The most dangerous cults are all of those Assemblies of God Evangelical ministries, which pretty much took over the Republican party back in the early 80's. Sufism and buddhism are both excellent.; costs nothing yet gives really sound psychological direction. Scientology is a publishing company that makes money by taking a 'path" and dividing it into hundreds of levels. Each level costs a mint to get to and has it's own language. Sufism has 6 levels, and Tibetan Buddhism has 4 - go figure..... I look into all religions, philosophies and paths, and Scientology has some good info at the beginning for minimum costs - then the sting!

I have a friend who's parents got sucked in by scientology, thinking it was the answer to all their problems (those stress-meter things that go off the chart no matter who touches them). anyway, my friend had to move out of home at 15 becuase of the pressure put on her parents. it got so bad that her parents enlisted the help of the church to make her come over to their side... WELL, when that didnt work they told her parents that she was a negative influence on the family, she was ostracized
