Yeah but the rest of the song is not irony. a fly in your chardonnay? an old guy who dies after he wins the lottery? a traffic jam when you're already late? One line of the song does not compensate for the fact that the rest of the song is not even really remotely close to irony.
The song should be retitled "Shit Happens"
