Due to offical reports the cryogen vulcan engine was started, which is part of the normal procedure, and was run for 7 seconds to validate proper function. An automatic check showed problems and interrupted before the ignition of the solid boosters was enabled. So to say: It was a pretty late but planned abort, due to potential problems in the vulcan main engine.
