  • what tuning?

  • That resonator works beautifully with how you played this piece. Amazing work! :)

  • Awesome. And really nice guitar.

  • Interesting interpretation. Bass a bit muddy, but otherwise awesome. Well played.

  • wow..so beautiful..

  • Super atmospheric, I love baritones. Great song too, I have a classical CD with nylon string guitar, and when this song is played the guitar literally sounds like it's twinkling.

  • This is so amazing, beautiful.....love this guitar and your playing.

  • thats the most beautiful thing ive ever heard

  • @y3k23k thanks a lot ! I'm flattered ...

  • @dieferri what pedal are you using cus i need to get it lol

  • @y3k23k no pedals ... I only used a bit of that Jomox T-resonator (it's a weird time sync'd filter box, google it) and the Orange ORS-50 amp (= an awesome amp) with custom 2x12" box - no other things ...

  • HI dieferri, I took your advice and got those xl157's. The guitar now sounds amazing and much better set up than the bass vi configuration. As a bass it sounded flat and chords sounded muddy, thing the low E-e tuning is too low i think and it was neither here nor there (I already have a musicman stingray so why would i use this as a bass?). Anyway I have it tuned BEADF#b and it sounds awesome

    regards JQ

  • @jquill6 I'm happy you're appreciating the great sound this instrument has.

And also I think Bass 6 strings sound a bit muddy because they have a different tension - they're designed for a Bass 6 that's a bit longer - Bass VI = 30" / Jag Bari Custom 28,5"

    Cheers - Diego

  • Hi I recently bought a bari custom jag, but it has bass vi strings, its a bit bassy, what strings did you use, do they fit ok? sounds cool

  • @jquill6 Hi ! Thanks for your interest ! I use the D'Addario XL157 set - I think it fits great with the Jaguar Baritone Custom and the tuning I use.

Of course you can play that instrument in many ways - possibilities are almost endless - the Bass VI is a great style too - like Tortoise or early Cream - very good sound - and some metal guys are using baritone guitars (B tuning and thin strings) as well.

So basically it's up to you, the way you play and the sound you want to get. Cheers !

  • hey what tuning is this one you're using on the fender? thanks

  • @aliensubterraneo Hi its ADGCEA - this is the tuning I regularly use - and sometimes I also "drop G" - it means I drop the bass A string to G ... thanks for your interest !

  • That's a real white room mr. Ferrante.
