  • If you're interested in the nature of terrorism in the early 21st century. You might want to listen to what the foremost antiterrorism expert in the world has to say on the subject. Richard A. Clarke:

"Richard Clarke: The Threat of Terrorism"

    ( watch?v=prw28jZam-E ) - Highly Recommended

"Countdown: Clarke on The Nexus of Politics and Terror" ( watch?v=0QknxRK2Rak )

    "Richard Clarke: Bush IGNORED terrorism!"

    ( watch?v=TyAUsWSLIUE )

  • For example:

"He who is prudent and lies in wait for an enemy who is not, will be victorious".

"Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories".

"Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy".

"There is no instance of a nation benefitting from prolonged warfare".

And again, my persoanl favorite: "Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat". - Sun Tzu

  • "Strategy without tactics is the slowest route to victory. Tactics without strategy is the noise before defeat". - Sun Tzu

Last week I came across a pretty cool page of quotes by Sun Tzu. - brainyquote(.)com/quotes/autho rs/s/sun_tzu(.)html

Whats frightening is how much of this military genius' advice the Al Qaeda seems to have adopted. While so much of what he admonishes against (arrogance in battle, not knowing your enemy...) seems to come right out of Bushs & Rumsfelds playbook. (cont.)
