  • Lauren!!

Your positive attitude is amazing and I love all the videos you make. Keep smiling!

  • Thank you so much!!

  • You are so amazing! Thank you for this one especially. We tend not to pay any attention when we have an energy spurt and then we pay for it by not been able to walk too well or have to sleep and I mean we have no choice but to sleep!!!

Your shopping expirence is like mine. If I over do it then I can't walk properly, its like slower than slow motion!! I find I can't write then or my verigo sets in really badly!!

    Thanks for posting!!!

  • Exactly! You are so right! We have such similar situations - thank you for writing me a message!!

  • Hey lauren, Im sorry but I havnt been able to watch your videos for the past 3 months or so but it was because my computer was on the fritz. But I played catchup and just wanted to tell you that you look and seem like you are doing really well. Me and my family love you so much and we pray everyday for those who are suffering from MS and dont know how to really pay close attention to their bodies. thank you for putting that out there because it is really important. Take care sweetheart

  • Thank you so much! That is so sweet of you and your family! I'm glad that your computer is working again. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

  • Hi there! I love your videos. I just wanted to say hi! :D You are so refreshing and have such a great attitude!!!!

  • Thank you so much!!

  • Hi Lauren! It was nice seeing your smiling face again. Its been a while. It looks like you're doing fantastic. I'm heading for # 14 on Friday, and I feel great.

Take care and all the best!

    Mike

  • Hey Mike! You are so sweet! Good luck with #14!!

    xoxo

    Lauren

  • Even though I dont have MS, your video is still inspirational. Thankyou.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Hi Lauren

I'm wondering if I've got the TYSABRI infusion every 35 days is it OK? I usually have it every 31 days, but someone told me it must be taken every 28 days is there any problems if had it every 30/31 days?

    Thanks

    Mody

  • Hey Mody - I'm pretty sure that if you take it every 30 or 31 days that's fine. But 35 days is stretching it. I would talk to your neurologist just to be sure. I hope you are well!

  • Hi Lauren! I am so excited to hear you are reading "The Shack". It is a wonderful book! LOL I love you comment on the "Leaning tower" that is so me when I get tired. We went for a day trip yesterday and had a great time. Today...I cannot walk without my walker and I have slept a ton today. I still have trouble slowing down. It is frustrating for me because I used to always go, go, go. Maybe it is God's way of having me slow down. lol

  • Hello! I know, I LOVE "The Shack"! hahah, the Leaning Tower...I agree, I think it is God's way of telling us to slow down! I hope you are well!

  • :)

    Keep smiling

  • Oh I will, thank you!!

  • Hi Lauren

This morning Saturday May16 I've got my second TYSABRI infusion everything is normal I hope I fell well after the 3rd one .

    Regards

    Mody

  • Hi Mody! That's great! I hope you feel well after your 3rd as well :)

  • thanks again for a helpful video, you look great.

  • Thank you Brooks!

  • Hi lauren.just want to say another great video,i got my hubby to have a look at it to help him understand that I am no longer superwoman, mind you I find it hard.!we are only starting to adjust to are lifes with ms .yes we all need to pay more attention to! God bless ,take care. Louise

  • Thank you! I know it is hard not being able to be superwoman...but I'm so glad that you and your husband are adjusting to MS. I wish you the very best! God Bless!

  • Thanks for your video. I'm just beginning to adjust to life with MS. I am used to just "soldiering on" when things get tough, and I'm finding out that this strategy is no longer an option.

As you say, it is good for me to have to rest -- everybody should anyway, and now I can make sure I take time to stop and smell the roses. :)

  • Thank you for writing! I'm with you...that strategy used to be my life style. It can't be anymore, but I've adjusted and I try my best every day. I wish you well!!

  • hi lauren thanks for another great vid! I feel like I have a cap when it comes to excercise and if I burst that cap I'm in trouble. I have warning signs, I get dizzy and lightheaded and achey. I was at a concert last weekend and had to leave 10 mins after the main act came on cause I could tell I needed to go home and rest.

    Thanks for this xx

  • Hey Bretagne! Oh I am the same way. I don't even go to concerts - I totally understand. I hope you're feeling well!! xoxo :)

  • To all moms: happy mother's day

    Thanks Lauren

    Mody

  • You're so sweet!

  • Lauren, thank you for the mention. Glad I bring you humour! You look great, but don't overdo it! xx

  • Hi Carl!! Thank you so much! I'll try not to overdo it :) xoxo

  • Need to avoid overheating... cooling down with an iced drink revives me.

  • That revives me too - I try to stay out of the sune because it makes me sleep!

  • I learnt my lesson about over doing it!!

I have been really busy with the paranormal research, that I had forgotten about my condition!!

It finally caught up with me this weekend.

I finally got to bed around 1 am friday night, and didnt wake up till 7pm saturday evening!! I was awake a full 4 hours yesterday, before passing out once again!!

Im not sure if ill ever learn to slow down, and take it easy.

But I know one thing,I am done over doing it for a while.. ;-)

    aly~JHP

  • Aly that is so great that you're learning to slow down. I have pushed myself too hard too many times, and I really try to take it easy as much as I can now! I wish you the best!

  • you too dear.

sometimes it takes us getting slapped in the face,to realize to stop, slow down, and theres always tomorrow!!

    blessings,

    aly

  • Lauren, Anti-VLA-4 antibodies were given to primates and these primates produced up to 200 times the normal level of stem/progenitor cells in their bloodstream. Tysabri is an anti-VLA-4 antibody drug. Do you believe that Tysabri has helped your body produce-release 200X more stem/progenitor cells into your blood?

  • Oh gosh I have no idea - all I know is that I feel better now than I have in years.

  • yay!!! Im in the first 10 comments!!!

    Ok,I just learnt my lession

  • Aww you are so sweet - thanks for writing!

  • Dear Lauren,

I need you to come to my house and to remind me to take a break and to relax once in a while!!! :)

I used to do it back in my country but I am not as good as doing it over here because I want to do sooo much and because I tell myself that I am too young to be tired!!! I will need to listen to this video over and over and thank you for doing this because I need to hear these words more often!

You are always a ray of light and I love to see your smile!

    Un bacio,

    Angela

  • Hi Angela! haha I would love to come to your house and relax WITH you!! You are so sweet Angela - I love writing to you and watching your videos...in English AND Italian!

    Ciao,

    Lauren :)

  • everytime i keep posting comments on the LDN drug....... uhhhhh why do i bother

  • Well, if you like LDN and it's working for you that's great! It's just that Tysabri is working for me - our bodies are all different and we respond differently to medications. I found one that works, but I always tell people to use the medication that works for them!

  • "My Mom was like, 'You're like the Leaning Tower of Pisa!' '...Thanks!'" that cracked me up ^_^

My Mom isn't as cool with my symptoms. She wouldn't be able to joke around like that. Sometimes, MS makes me stutter, and I think it's HILARIOUS! I'm like "I'm Porky Pig! That's all, folks!" and my Mom looks like she's going to cry.

But you can't let it get you down - not while the effects are so minor! You have to learn to laugh at yourself :-) Its awesome that your Mom can do that with you!

  • Oh I can imagine your Mom getting upset - trust me, we have both had our cries and sad times, but you're so right... you HAVE to laugh at yourself! "That's all folks" is hilarious! I stutter sometimes too. Hopefully your Mom will laugh with you eventually! Your attitude is great!

  • hey lauren- i am so glad u posted this video..

I saw andrews comment on naps-

nanna naps are my favourite afternoon activity as well ! !

    Take care

    Nekita

    xo

  • Hi Nekita! Thank you for giving me the idea! I've been meaning to write to you!! Oh I love nanna naps...they're the best :)

    xoxo

    Lauren :)

  • Keep up the good work/videos

One good thing about having MS is having an excuse to take a quick sleep whenever I want ;)

  • Thank you! I know, we do have the right to take naps and I love it!

  • I have spms. Last Sunday I was officiating a wedding. My legs after standing for the ceremony, gave out. And then I fell down. I did a wedding yesterday and did not have to stand as long. I told the bride to have a chair for me if I needed to sit down. I used the chair after th wedding party and guests left. I sat down then. After a few moments I felt refreshed.

  • Oh my gosh the same exact thing happens to me - when I was a hostess at a restaurant, I sat on a stool because I can't stand for too long. I'm so glad you were able to sit and get refreshed :)

  • woah I'm first this time !! :D Great video as usuall Lauren and WOW you are doing really well, your voice and speech gets clearer and stronger all the time (seems that way to me anyway) I have also changed in the way i do everyting, I have stopped smoking (was having 30 cigarettes a day), i no longer drink ... and I am now going to the gym twice a week ... my friends think I have been bodysnatched ! When my body tells me i have had enough then i have a huge hot chocolate ! Take care luv Tony xx

  • That's awesome Tony (ie: quitting smoking and drinking). The gym rocks as well! Good to hear!

Lauren, you're beautiful and insightful as always. Keep it up girlfriend!! :)

  • Laura you are so sweet - thank you! I hope you're doing well!

  • Hi Tony! Thank you :) I am SO PROUD of you!! I have heard about how hard quitting smoking is, and you no longer drink, AND you go to the gym twice a week?! That's amazing! Oh boy, hot chocolate is one of my favorite treats...I am so with you!!

  • Thanks Ladies, always a pleasure to be supported :D ...by the way Lauren I don't know if you get "hotel chocolat" over in the states ,It's a specialist chocolate company and by far the best I have ever tasted ... Thier hot choccy is just to die for, its flakes you stir into hot milk (drooooooool !!) by the way I know how you must feel at the people using your blog/vlog to push their own ideas abut drugs etc ... and LOVE your strength in ignoring them..... Love your "Tysabri brother" Tony !! XXX

  • Oh my gosh that sounds amazing...now I'm drooling over here! Thank you for saying that about other people trying to push their drugs...I don't care what people choose to take, but the only person who could come close to changing my mind is my neurologist!!
