There are 6000 Mizrachi Jews left In india. I hope they stay there. They have great opportunities there in a growing country and form the Bridge between the 21st Centuries two great Powers india and israel
@jesusonXTC Well, I read about the descrimination too. But it has been over hyped. Many Mizrahi Jews don't believe it was a major issue. If you didn't know, Mizrahi Jews have been 70% of Jewish population in Israel. And Mizrahi Jews are the only Jews who have a pure Semitic blood. Obviously because they are from middle east and N Africa(heavily influenced by middle east). Both Ashkanazi and Ethiopian Jews are a mix of semitic blood. Some are more semitic and some are less semitic
@ForgottenEasternJews - Research showed that the % of the Mizrahi Jews mixing with the non-Jewish population in exile was HIGHER than the % of Ashekanzi Jews mixing in Europe. The Ashkenazi kept their identity and in most cases never mixed with the rest. In the Middle East it was much harder for the jews to keep their ethnicity becuase of the preasure by the Arabs and Muslims to convert them /marry them, so many of the "mizrahi" Jews are a bit mixed.. but we are one country now - Israel!
@ofri75 hmmm! That's something new i'm hearing. Could you send me a link to that? Well, then please explain me, if Ashkanazi mixed less the Europeans, then why do they look like Europeans with many having blonde hair and blue eyes while at the same time some ashkanazis look middle eastern. Its depends on how much you have mixed. And also please explain me, even if Mizrahi mixed with non Jews, aren't they the same race (the Semitic race)?. In Middle east, 2000y ago Jews & nonjews looked the same
@ofri75 Research also showed that about 8 Million of all ashkanazi jews have DNA of 4 "Middle Eastern" women. The % various from person to person. So, Middle Eastern DNA is taken as a yardstick for research analysis. So, My question is, even if Mizrahi Jews mixed with non Jews in middle east (which I think is not the case), then genetically they will still be Semitic or Middle Eastern. They will still be the "Middle Eastern" race.
@ForgottenEasternJews - yes, of course they are a "middle eastern" (as all Israelis), I agree and don't argue on that, but I don't see your point. I really dont like to argue about who is more "Jewish" because at the end, we (Jews) have a very tiny country and we are one nation. In every nation, at some point there is a certain % of ppl who mixed with others, including Israel. Bottom line: Arabs in Israel are invadors, who came from Arab peninsula Jews are the only natives in Israel.
@ofri75 I completely agree with you. As Jews we must stick together. We are just 13 million Jews left. But what ticks me is when SOME white, blonde hair, blue eyes ashkanazi Jews sometimes try to create trouble and division by saying that they are mixed less with non Jews (Europeans) than the Mizrahi Jews. That's not true or else they would not be white with blonde hair. But even if the Mizrahi mixed with middle eastern people, they will always remain "Semitic". But I don't want to see division
@ForgottenEasternJews - yes, I also agree with what you said. Are you Jewish by the way? Where do you live? I'm Israeli. Just know that in israel, especially in the past 20 years, there are many many "mixe" couples of Mizrahi and Ashkenazi, with mixed babies and children (who are in many cases in the 20's and also 30's). It's growing, and I think it's a good thing, in order to give out country an identity as Israelis and Jews.
@ofri75 Yes I'm Jewish (my screen name says it) I live in US and I'm a Mizrahi Jew. And yes, I know there are a lot of mixed marriages between mizrahi and ashkanazi. There are about 3 Million Mizrahis in Israel and about half million mixed race out of 5.8 million Israeli Jews.
@ForgottenEasternJews You should be proud of being a Mizrachi Jew, for they are the true and original jews. The Ashekanazis are little more than a product of the ancient and powerful Turkic kingdom of khazaria converting to Judaism. Read this book---->The Thirteenth Tribe
@lutzdify I don't agree that Ashkanazi Jews are the khazars. Its been proven WRONG. The Khazars were a completely different people. Just because a couple of ashkanazi Jews say that Mizrahi Jews are more mixed than Ashkanazi Jews, I wouldn't say that Ashkanazi Jews are khazars. Its been proven genetically wrong.
If you had said that the Ashkanazi Jews are a mix of Semitic(middle eastern) and European race, then I would have agreed with you. And this has also been proven right genetically.
@ForgottenEasternJews Its true that over the centruies that Ashkenazis had inter-mingled with the many non-jewish slavic races(mainly Russians, Poles, and Ukrainians) as well as the Germans and Flemish. The facial features as well as the upper skeletal characteristics found on most, if not all ashkanazis(nose shape, hair growth patterns) can also be seen on Gentile Armenians.
@lutzdify Many Armenians have middle eastern features too because they live next door. Its been found that about 8 million Ashkanazi Jews have DNA of 4 middle eastern women. Now, some ashkanazi may be less mixed and some may be more mixed with the local white european populations. Also there were some who converted. Sometimes I see a few ashkanazi Jews who still have middle eastern features. But just to chalk up every ashkanazi jew as khazars is just plain ignorance. Its just crap.
@ForgottenEasternJews Techincally you are right. BTW Armenians are not middle eastern exactly, they are a native people of the caucasus mountains region of central asia.
@lutzdify Armenians are not European, Armenia is south of the caucus mountains, they are pretty much in middle east. If Armenians are European so is Turkey aka Asia Minor.
@ForgottenEasternJews The author of the book "The Thirteenth Tribe" was himself an ashekanazi!!! He clearly knew that he and all other ashekanazis were either converts from the uralic tribes native to western siberia or a mix of semitic and turkic genes!!
@lutzdify Look, I'm not an ashkanazi Jew and even though ashkanazi Jews don't stand up for Mizrahi Jews and they go as far as saying that Mizrahi Jews are more mixed than ashkanazi, I still try to stay by the truth. It's been proven many times that majority of ashkanazi Jews are NOT khazar converts. If you look at some old pictures of ashkanazi Jews you can notice some of them still having middle eastern features. Yes, there have been converts and interracial marriages especially here in the US.
But to say that all ashkanazi Jews are converts is just BS. DNA has been proven many times that they have semitic roots. Over the past 400 years, ashkanazi jewish population has grown significantly. Over the centuries they have intermarried with whites and some whites have also converted to Judaism. But the original ashkanazi Jews who came to Europe looked more semetic than today's ashkanazi Jews.
