I love how the audience is silent for the whole performance. Even at the end, there is that second of pause before the crowd begins to cheer. It's like they want to hear every single second of the performance before showing their appreciation. A great musical partnership. :o)
@lokir, I agree! One of the most annoying things about a live concert is everyone else singing along, and never getting to hear or enjoy those you actually came to see perform. Yes, it can be fun to sing along and join in the memories of having sung it forever to the recording, BUt I perfer being able to simply hear the act and not the crowd. Sounds fuddy-duddy I'm sure to many, but it is what it is. My truth.
Despite his obviously incredible genius in his guitar playing ability, developed through sheer hard work and dedication, he has an incredible skill that most guitarists take for granted - his ability to cast a eye at Patty to ensure they are 'as one'!!
check his guitar lessons on youtube as well. once you watch them, that's something that definitely will put you off playing the guitar :D when he actually explains, what he's doing with that piece of wood with strings attached...

I saw them just over a week ago. I have seen hundreds of guitarists and singers over the years, in both cases these are in my top three. Her voice is like velvet, and he plays like I wish I could play. I want them to perform again near me!

She sings classics from jimi hendrix to janis joplin to ella fitzgerald and duke ellington and makes them hers alone. jazz riffs, body beat, and a voice that is simply the sound of her heart.
