It doesn't really matter because just about every person (including me) would use each weapon from the F8E Crusader on this stage (to knock out each enemy; including the Stealth Bomber Boss, to protect ourselves from getting knocked out by them) anyways.
And therefore... I don't really feel comfortable to not use any weapons on this stage as I prefer to use 'em on this stage, but it was very nice of you to let me know that it sometimes might not be possible to use weapons on this stage.
Yeah I think the arcade game has badass music compared to this SNES version but what can you do? This period of gaming arcade systems had superior hardware compared to home consoles.
There's a remixed version of the second stage's music that the composer made when the game soundtrack was released. I had it but my hard drive crashed, hopefully I can find it again.
What sucks is you have to know roughly where to shoot near the end to get the second mechanic. It's always hit or miss with me at this part because you got two streams of enemies and a large enemy blocking your way.

you should have stayed in the top so you could get the icon that wipes the whole screen clean so to speak.
would have been alot easier and you can get into place faster for the next plane that comes :)
