  • God! I remember seeing this movie as a kid on TV and loved it. Looking at the trailer now, the special effects weren't as good as I remembered, but it still looks like a great movie. Is it out on DVD?

  • Great classic movie. And it has the required "guy gets fried against electrical panel" scene!

  • A very creative and inventive film.

Ryan portrays a very fatherly and compassionate Nemo.

The Nautilus and it's companion sub remind me of underwater versions of the Cygnus from Disney's "The Black Hole".

  • @vawlkee51 I just watched The Black Hole again about a month ago after 30 years seeing it in the theatre. Again, the SFX don't stand up to today's standards, but it was a very good movie.

  • I remember catching parts of this and thinking I'd like to see the whole thing...only they never showed it again. Glad its avail in the Archive collection. Not sure I want to pay that price though...

The first voiceover sounds like John Carridine.

  • @radioman970 That's it! I was trying to place the voice and I think you've nailed it as Carridine

  • @georgiahoosier I can almost hear "the Great owl". ;)

  • @radioman970 Voice over was John Carradine ,He had a distinctive voice.

  • @jay55also That's what I figured too.

He did. I especially like his voice of The Great Owl in Secret of Nimh. Look that up if you've never seen it before. A true classic.

  • This is a great movie

  • ok now i feel old lol talk about a late night saturday movie classic.
