  • Great find! I've driven that stretch of I-70 dozens and dozens of times in the past 17 years and I think I've seen a train actually on the move only once on that entire stretch. Otherwise, it's just the stored cars.

For a long time I thought it was abandoned as some of the searchlight signal heads are turned away (i.e. at Genoa) but the old crossing signals still appeared to be in-use. Never seen any of them activated though.

  • Where is this?

  • This is 4 miles west of Statton Colorado.

  • if there was that much snow in the uk everything would be closed, even the tube again!

  • I've been watching your videos for the last couple days and am fascinated. How do you know where the drifts are, and when the plow is coming through?

  • I've worked for this railroad for 22 years and I just about know where all the bad spots are. Thanks for your comment.

  • what do you do you do 4 the railroad?

  • hey what year was all these vids taken?

  • These vids. were taken Nov.2006 Thru March 2007.

  • That's a really old engine /plow on the front isn't it?

  • a lot of times it is a old caboose modified into a plow... this one seems to be a custom job... in another vid of the same plow train, I saw a slightly different plow.

  • It was probably a little _COLD_. Interesting video.

  • how hard is it to hold the camera still...

  • well hes obviously using zoom and when your zoomed in it makes the movements more drastic.
