@ST4RMouse Microsoft and Sony only care about the graphics, blood, etc. Nintendo may not have that, but they actually put their hearts into these games. I'm just saying that if LoZ was made for Xbox or PS3 it wouldn't be as legendary as it is today. The graphics and over world would be great, but the story and gameplay wouldn't be as majestic, magical and well thought out as I see it.
So i may be wrong but im pretty sure the knite that teaches u new moves is futre or a dead link do some research somone plz ill do the same and we can debate cuz I think im write plz somone rply
@Machoman3227 The Knight you are talking about is called the Hero of Shade, and is the ghost of the Hero of Time, which was the Link featured in Ocarina of Time. And its likely that the Hero of Time is the father of Twilight Princess-Link because 1. TP Link was a rancher, so its likely that OoT Link had a family with Malon who was a rancher and 2. In Twilight Princess there is a point where Heros Shade refers to TP Link as his son, but he could mean son as his student rather than his REAL son.
@Zentrix97 also, The Hero's Shade looks like a Stalfos and he uses a dirty version of the Mirror Shield and wields the Gilded Sword, which are from Majoras Mask. Its likely he was killed in the Kokiri Forest while looking for Navi. if you get lost in the woods without a fairy you will be turned into a Stalfos
I found my experience with the game much different.
Loved some moments, like the bosses, but the boss fights didn't last more than 2 hits, which I think was done, so the dramatic stuff doesn't repeat too much.
Over all I was disappointed by the lack of dungeons and the game FELT small to me, but looking back, the main world map was large. mini games were some of the better ones.
Controls felt annoying to me (3ds OoT feels great)
And it sure didnt last very long.(dunno how ppl spend so much time)
I thought this game was brilliant. The boss fights were too easy aside from a couple. Where this game actually shines is its the atmosphere and its puzzles. One of the areas not mentioned in the review is the temple of the twilight realm toward the end of the game, that imo was probably the best part of the game and I kind of feel the scale and manageability of temples of that magnitude were adapted in SS. Still a great game for it's time reminded me alot of ALTTP.
If Zelda wer fo the PS3 or Xbox 360 they would make a TON of money ...i have Finished Twilight Princess , Windwaker , And ocerina of time .. and i think it would be amazing on X360 and PS3
many people said that the zelda series is dying because they cant beat ocarina of of time or something like that. well i have an idea to save the zelda series. just make zelda 3 as meany people have lost hope it will ever be made maybe the taught of it being made will thrill most fans. just bring in some of the best elements from the best zelda games and name it like zelda 3D or zelda 3 a hero returns. my concept on the is simple you use the link from oot as he was trapped as an adult.
@davidefurigay re-make Link to the past , why do people keep talking about Ocarina , it was a nice game
but it was lacking of details, so much , it took me no time to pass ocarina, where link to the past took less, duh i was younger, but still , link to the past beats ocarina in my book, and i know for a lot of veterans , this remains true, and remember Ocarina is and was a good game, but please it didnt have enough items, secrets, challenges, there was all that, Link2dapast!!!
@davidefurigay Have u heard of this new thing called Wii U? When I saw a clip of it on youtube, it showed Link from Ocarina of Time but he looks so fucking awesome. <3 in the clip u also fight this weird monster while moveing the device. Something like that anyway. :P
I played Okami to death and heard this game is kind of similar. I've played a little bit of Zelda games at my friend's house, but never owned and and played it myself. Is this a good introduction to the series?
@PredictableEnigma play some older ones first, like a link to the past, ocarina of time and maybe links awakening, then go to this wind waker and skyward sword. You can get a link to the past and ocarina on the wii with one wii points card. If you really need to though, then just get an emulator for a link to the past.
@PredictableEnigma i know this is some what old, but because zelda games don't really tie into each other (unless your doing Majora's mask which is a sequel to Ocarina of time but even there doesn't really play a big part) i would say its a good game to start out with. it was the first Zelda game I played, loved it to death, then decided to play ocarina of time which is just as fun.
i beat the game first time in 20 hours and that file now currently has about 70-80 hours. There's just alot of stuff to do haha my only complaint with this game is that the world doesn't feel like a living breathing world. It's so dark and half of hyrule is just fields. I feel like they should've populated it more
i sooo would buy a zelda game where the killing is more like brutal and has blood in it and if the killing styles were more insane lie stabbing and ripping heads off and shit. that would be sick
Wind Waker's bosses are just as easy and way more dull than TPs. Wind Waker starts off well but gets boring halfway, while TP just gets better. Only thing that's better in WW imo is the style, it just doesn't get old.

Twilight Princess had the best theme and all Zelda games have great gameplay and now the graphics have come to a whole new level. I love all of the Zelda games
oh my god quit badmouthin zelda ive played everyone of them and the difficulty is the same throughout all of em and guess what they were all awesome quit complaining all the time they are games that keep you entertained for sixty plus hours you can beat that so lets hear some positive things and quit focusing on the things that you think are negative
all the 3d zelda games have been amazing :D Honestly I dislike how easy the recent ones are. I died 1 time in wind waker and never a single time in twilight princess. When I go back and play ocarina of time, I actually get hurt during the boss fights and die once or twice each time I play.
Holy shit this is an overrated game, play wind waker SOOOOO much better compared to this decent creation, any of you who think otherwise should suck on my armpit hair, or learn the facts.
I just don't like this game personally because it has no clear distinct thing about it. Like Wind waker was my favorite mainly because it just had a great style of its own. Majora's Mask obviously had the moon. Ocarina of Time set base and well had the ocarina of course (: Anyway i just didn't think much of the twilight zone because it just didn't cut it for me.
this is probally my least favorite zelda first i played it blind and it's is to easy..im not saying it's a bad game cause so far no zelda game suck.it's to easy especially ganon the only reason he's an ok boss is because you have to fight him 5 times and they're all easy.srry for saying easy alot but i just want ganon to be as hard as he was in Oot or even harder. but it's still a great game it not a big deal for the difficultly i'm just making it seem like that.
@soridosuneku wind wakers first 2 bosses are easier than twilight princess first 2 bosses but i think twilight princess just because their are more boss battle than wind waker.also tp bosses take more hits to kill and it not as obvious as wind waker.
@Bobby32914 The story was amazing and i did like alot of the characters, but you are right with the easy level, the game needs a difficulty option, so no one can hate it for that reason.
@ImmortalxXxMidna i don't hate it. it's just disappointing. the story is good but i still prefer majoras mask story it's my favorite when it comes to story.tp has an okay/easy difficulty now that i think of it. and the one thing i hate are the HANDS dam thing still scares me sense my childhood
I have to admit my first and blind run of any 3D Zelda game I usually get my ass handed back to me on a platter. But after beating the game, the second time the bosses and enemies are like nothing. Then when I beat it again semiblind, Everything is like nothing. But with this game I admit that the only flaw is the bosses are too easy period and that I had no trouble even on my first run.
@cruzman3608 Yeah the bosses weren't exactly challenging, I'll give you that. I used 1 fairy on Zant 'cuz I didn't know what to do and another fairy on beast gannon, again because I didn't know what technique to apply. Once I got it down it was simple. The thing I liked about the sword fight though was just the simplicity of it. My memory was "wow what an epic swordfight". For me, the funnest boss in the game was the easiest. (arbiter's grounds) I loved using the spinner.
@cruzman3608 As far as challenge goes, you really should do the cave of ordeals. I didn't know what to do the first time I fought some of the bosses. My mentality is and always was to learn through death. That's why I don't believe in asking for external help. Some people have an irrational fear of dying in a video game, they'll run around in circles trying to avoid it. I'm not like that. I'll die exploring my curiosity and I believe it makes me a better player in the long run.
@cruzman3608 If you only fell once then it sounds like you didn't take many risks. A person that plays with caution ultimately learns less than the person who dies trying to explore. I fell off many cliffs, sometimes by accident, other times out of curiosity. "Where's the entrance to the castle? Can I fall in this hole? It looks suspicious. Is there a heart piece at the bottom? I see a clawshot target, can I go there? Oops. Now I know."
@cruzman3608 Funny story, I never played the gamecube version but I remember feeling upset when I got Twilight Princess with my wii in 2006 because I thought I could use the gamecube controller since the wii was backwards compatible. In hindsight, I'm glad that option wasn't available. Some of the sword techniques like the spin attack are much more fluid with the wii controls. I love the final boss battle mainly because it's a pure sword fight.
@cruzman3608 Have you ever done the cave of ordeals? I was at the 40th level or something when I started running out of health. Let me tell you, the magic armor saved my ass. I didn't stock up on potions 'cuz I thought it was just a regular cave, I filled my bottles with lantern oil instead. This is when the magic armor became my best friend. I was down to like 2 hearts with no potions and just barely made it out of there. It that was it's only purpose then I think it was worth it.
I don't have a problem with someone who needed help with 1 or 2 things. I only take exception when those people say the game was easy, because usually it's those kind of people who make such statements. Cruzman said it was easy, but only he knows whether he cheated or not. To me if you cheat on even 1 thing then you have a different perspective than the person who worked through it. There's a different level of challenge that can only be fully understood through the blind experience.

God damn I love this series I hope it never ends although I watched a trailer for the new one called skyward sword and it dosent look all that great with the poor looking graphics. Btw the only time I cheated was for the freaking water temple and the guards for the sacred grove.
@cruzman3608 I found TP to be one of the more challenging games in the series and I feel qualified to say that because I beat the game 100% with no strategy guide or online help. If I went online for even 1 tip then I would feel cheated. I wouldn't call someone else a cheater mind you but that's how I would feel. Gamers who run into problems today can easily google a solution, but during the NES-64 era most people didn't have a computer so they were forced to beat the games on their own.
@cruzman3608 What if he said "I like this game because it is filled with interesting characters and temples and sidequests and puzzles and items like every other zelda game in existence"? Same thing worded differntly I suppose, and it makes perfect sense too. TP is very much like a typical Zelda game in it's adventure concept. Where this game in particular really shines is in the control and cinematic aspects. I would not go back to a regular controller after playing TP.
@cruzman3608 I'll gladly "debate" with you. I know that I can't change the way you feel, but what I can do is share a different outlook with someone who ultimately wants to hear it. Let's get one thing out of the way first: critical thinking is not the focal point of debate. I can say this game is awesome for any reason at all and still be right. Do you understand? It's called personal preference.
@cruzman3608 I think it's such a great game because it's Zelda. I seriously haven't played a bad Zelda game and that is why I look at it and see it differently to other people. You may say that I'm turning a blind eye to it's flaws because of my obsession to the series.
@cruzman3608 Okay, people have different and unique tastes in games which match their character/personality, so it's our job as human beings to respect that without moaning and whining like you're doing.
personaly, liked ww plot better the tp, The ganondorf was more thought, yeah sure, ganondorf was tring to take over highrule... but where was it? in the ocean! I think I didn't like TP plot much was beacuse I thought it was going to be darker then it was... I think the atmosphere totally tricked me. if WW made you feel for the characters a bit more, I think it would be one of the best games.
It took me about 100 hours to collect all the bugs and hearts, complete the cave or ordeals and everything basically. My only help was Midna and that psychic in castletown. I didn't go online to check for the heart pieces or how to beat the bosses or anything like that. I talked Midna when things weren't obvious and if she couldn't help me, I used my common sense to solve the problem. Admitedly I did a lot of stalling too; like waiting for nighttime or using epona instead of warp points.
This game is fantastic. My only big complaint is one that has plagued the series since Windwaker, and that is horrific cheesiness.
So much cheese involved regarding the children of Ordon it made me want to puke, and I'm a girl! Going by stereotypes I should have loved the cheese! Urgh...
I mean, contrast the amount of cheese in WW and TP to OoT, MM, and even ALttP. It's depressing. The atmosphere of TP would have been even better if they'd just kept the cheese out... :(
@SOUTHWESTENZ thats true but thats do to nintendo throwing out a bad exploration gig when really it was just annoying, it would of been much faster if it where more land then sea, and if they made it so you don't need to change the wind and stuff like that, like phantom hourglass but at the same time it dosn't have the same charm but a diffrent charm that makes it just as good in a diffrent way
@3q89396 the reason why you need to change the wind in wind waker is because the wind always blow one way,so if nintendo wouldnt have puted that concept you would have to wait hours for the wind to change directions, and in phantom hourglass the boat didnt needed wind to move.the best would be to have a fews continents and small islands,so you have both seas and lands.
@freaklore yeah i know they through in the wind consept for that resion but still i think they could have thought of a better way to sail on water and i know that in phantom hour glass the boat dosent requre wind to move i played and beat it like 97% (im missing some ship parts) and it could be both seas and land but a smaller world like in phantom hourglass becouse there is not enough enemys to fight in wind waker on the seas and it's just alot of just waiting when you want action and adventer
The snes Zelda was and always will be the best, it showed a giant leap in evolution for this series...anything after is just upgrade graphics. Still good though.
I wish they would keep this style of zelda games but instead theyre making that gay ass skyward sword game where link looks like a pussy that wears panty hose. This gams was badass though.
@beanqueen11 It still looks like shit! Tights are supposed to go under the kilt he wears, not baggy ass sweat pants or whatever it is...thats like wearing a t-shirt over top of a winter coat.
Some people don't understand, TP was designed for GC and had to be compressed onto a tiny 1 GB Gamecube disc. You can't really complain that the graphics were not impressing especially when you have to pack a giant game onto a small disc.
I once played this straight through a week without stopping!!! This is one of my favorite Zelda games because you don't have to revisit the same dungeon over and over again. I mean I like doing that but even more I like exploring new dungeons too! Great review!! Live on Zelda, live on.
i was gonna get the wii version but there were no more copies but gamecube version is still good, my friend got the wii version the fishing is alot better and easier on wii
You know what. I really wish they'd make the next zelda game available on gamecube. This game was so much better on that. I'm not using a remote to play zelda so I guess I won't be playin anymore zelda games til nintendo gets their shit together and offers multiple controller options for us.
@Coolyfett i agree, as SONY fanboys, we wont acknowledge any great games on Wii therefore there are no good games on Wii and zelda is no exception. Sony fanboys forever!
is it me or are there more elements from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link in this Zelda game than in any other? I mean, the barrier that surrounds the castle, the red and blue chus (bits and bots), the downward stab, learning new abilities as the game progresses etc...I haven't played EVERY Zelda game...so I'm not sure if these are just recurring things, but it just FEELS like some of those elements have been brought back. I love it!
the game came out before the movies "twilight". Zelda Twilight Princess is an awesome name.if you have completed the game, you know exactly why......the game is a story about the twilight princess, and Link is the narrator of the story through his actions.
I think nintendo released to much info to early and so the game was a bit to hyped and didn't quite meet the expectations of fans but they must have realized this because if they say zelda wii is coming out this year then there won't be too much hype
@ST4RMouse Microsoft and Sony only care about the graphics, blood, etc. Nintendo may not have that, but they actually put their hearts into these games. I'm just saying that if LoZ was made for Xbox or PS3 it wouldn't be as legendary as it is today. The graphics and over world would be great, but the story and gameplay wouldn't be as majestic, magical and well thought out as I see it.

this is probally my least favorite zelda first i played it blind and it's is to easy..im not saying it's a bad game cause so far no zelda game suck.it's to easy especially ganon the only reason he's an ok boss is because you have to fight him 5 times and they're all easy.srry for saying easy alot but i just want ganon to be as hard as he was in Oot or even harder. but it's still a great game it not a big deal for the difficultly i'm just making it seem like that.
also SKYWARD SWORD IS AWESOME.
Bobby32914 1 year ago
@Bobby32914 Are the bosses in Wind Waker a bit more difficult than in Twilight Princess?
soridosuneku 1 year ago
@soridosuneku wind wakers first 2 bosses are easier than twilight princess first 2 bosses but i think twilight princess just because their are more boss battle than wind waker.also tp bosses take more hits to kill and it not as obvious as wind waker.
Bobby32914 1 year ago
@Bobby32914 The story was amazing and i did like alot of the characters, but you are right with the easy level, the game needs a difficulty option, so no one can hate it for that reason.
ImmortalxXxMidna 11 months ago
@ImmortalxXxMidna i don't hate it. it's just disappointing. the story is good but i still prefer majoras mask story it's my favorite when it comes to story.tp has an okay/easy difficulty now that i think of it. and the one thing i hate are the HANDS dam thing still scares me sense my childhood

I have to admit my first and blind run of any 3D Zelda game I usually get my ass handed back to me on a platter. But after beating the game, the second time the bosses and enemies are like nothing. Then when I beat it again semiblind, Everything is like nothing. But with this game I admit that the only flaw is the bosses are too easy period and that I had no trouble even on my first run.
shellnmize 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 Yeah the bosses weren't exactly challenging, I'll give you that. I used 1 fairy on Zant 'cuz I didn't know what to do and another fairy on beast gannon, again because I didn't know what technique to apply. Once I got it down it was simple. The thing I liked about the sword fight though was just the simplicity of it. My memory was "wow what an epic swordfight". For me, the funnest boss in the game was the easiest. (arbiter's grounds) I loved using the spinner.
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 As far as challenge goes, you really should do the cave of ordeals. I didn't know what to do the first time I fought some of the bosses. My mentality is and always was to learn through death. That's why I don't believe in asking for external help. Some people have an irrational fear of dying in a video game, they'll run around in circles trying to avoid it. I'm not like that. I'll die exploring my curiosity and I believe it makes me a better player in the long run.
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 If you only fell once then it sounds like you didn't take many risks. A person that plays with caution ultimately learns less than the person who dies trying to explore. I fell off many cliffs, sometimes by accident, other times out of curiosity. "Where's the entrance to the castle? Can I fall in this hole? It looks suspicious. Is there a heart piece at the bottom? I see a clawshot target, can I go there? Oops. Now I know."
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 Funny story, I never played the gamecube version but I remember feeling upset when I got Twilight Princess with my wii in 2006 because I thought I could use the gamecube controller since the wii was backwards compatible. In hindsight, I'm glad that option wasn't available. Some of the sword techniques like the spin attack are much more fluid with the wii controls. I love the final boss battle mainly because it's a pure sword fight.
AlanJits 1 year ago

Btw the only time I cheated was for the freaking water temple and the guards for the sacred grove.
azza44100 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 I found TP to be one of the more challenging games in the series and I feel qualified to say that because I beat the game 100% with no strategy guide or online help. If I went online for even 1 tip then I would feel cheated. I wouldn't call someone else a cheater mind you but that's how I would feel. Gamers who run into problems today can easily google a solution, but during the NES-64 era most people didn't have a computer so they were forced to beat the games on their own.
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 What if he said "I like this game because it is filled with interesting characters and temples and sidequests and puzzles and items like every other zelda game in existence"? Same thing worded differntly I suppose, and it makes perfect sense too. TP is very much like a typical Zelda game in it's adventure concept. Where this game in particular really shines is in the control and cinematic aspects. I would not go back to a regular controller after playing TP.
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 I'll gladly "debate" with you. I know that I can't change the way you feel, but what I can do is share a different outlook with someone who ultimately wants to hear it. Let's get one thing out of the way first: critical thinking is not the focal point of debate. I can say this game is awesome for any reason at all and still be right. Do you understand? It's called personal preference.
AlanJits 1 year ago
@cruzman3608
I didn't like using the wolf either, mainly because those sword
techniques were unavailable! I suppose you could get through some parts of the game without it but THAT would be tedious. Watch
nintendocaprisun cruise through the city in the sky temple with a
jumping sword attack/tornado combo for instance. Or better yet, go to the cave of
ordeals.

@cruzman3608 this game wasnt that great
Metal7771 1 year ago
@cruzman3608 I think it's such a great game because it's Zelda. I seriously haven't played a bad Zelda game and that is why I look at it and see it differently to other people. You may say that I'm turning a blind eye to it's flaws because of my obsession to the series.

personaly, liked ww plot better the tp, The ganondorf was more thought, yeah sure, ganondorf was tring to take over highrule... but where was it? in the ocean!

AlanJits 1 year ago
This game is fantastic. My only big complaint is one that has plagued the series since Windwaker, and that is horrific cheesiness.
So much cheese involved regarding the children of Ordon it made me want to puke, and I'm a girl! Going by stereotypes I should have loved the cheese! Urgh...
I mean, contrast the amount of cheese in WW and TP to OoT, MM, and even ALttP. It's depressing. The atmosphere of TP would have been even better if they'd just kept the cheese out... :(
Gaawachan 1 year ago
@Gaawachan what the hell are you talkin about, what's the problem with the cheese? im confused.

@SOUTHWESTENZ i think it was a harder zelda then most of the zelda games i played and beat almost every one 100% and so yeah
3q89396 1 year ago
@3q89396 on like wind waker it takes ages to get all the stuff
SOUTHWESTENZ 1 year ago
@SOUTHWESTENZ thats true but thats do to nintendo throwing out a bad exploration gig when really it was just annoying, it would of been much faster if it where more land then sea, and if they made it so you don't need to change the wind and stuff like that, like phantom hourglass but at the same time it dosn't have the same charm but a diffrent charm that makes it just as good in a diffrent way
3q89396 1 year ago
@3q89396 the reason why you need to change the wind in wind waker is because the wind always blow one way,so if nintendo wouldnt have puted that concept you would have to wait hours for the wind to change directions, and in phantom hourglass the boat didnt needed wind to move.the best would be to have a fews continents and small islands,so you have both seas and lands.
freaklore 1 year ago
@freaklore yeah i know they through in the wind consept for that resion but still i think they could have thought of a better way to sail on water and i know that in phantom hour glass the boat dosent requre wind to move i played and beat it like 97% (im missing some ship parts) and it could be both seas and land but a smaller world like in phantom hourglass becouse there is not enough enemys to fight in wind waker on the seas and it's just alot of just waiting when you want action and adventer

Screw game voice acting.
That's what I hate about it.
No voice makes the player imagine what voice a charakter has.
There is nothing messed up about it.
Sadly for the zelda series progression goes hand in hand with regression.
The story is huge. The world is huge. What is after that?
A bunch of heart pieces and poe souls. Same goes in reverse.
Good extra stuff, bad main stuff.
The lack of control over a shield makes the controls look worse.
Graphics hidden by dark surroundings.

is it me or are there more elements from Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link in this Zelda game than in any other? I mean, the barrier that surrounds the castle, the red and blue chus (bits and bots), the downward stab, learning new abilities as the game progresses etc...I haven't played EVERY Zelda game...so I'm not sure if these are just recurring things, but it just FEELS like some of those elements have been brought back. I love it!
