He never told the audience what the Gospel is! The Good news is that your sins have been paid for by Jesus on the Cross. And, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrightieousness". Jesus was raised from the dead after paying for our sins and now He mediates between God. This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is part of the Gospel that you have given and true but it is not the whole Gospel. It isn't just that sins were paid for and confession.

Who was payment made too?

Christ was crushed by the Fathers wrath for sin. That is if even one lie has come out of a persons mouth Christ was crushed by the fathers wrath for that lie. You also said nothing about Repentance (turning away from sin). This would be a good start on what the Gospel s but not the whole Gospel.

Amen. It took me a whole year of praying and debating with my family to point them to this truth. Ultimately however, it was Paul Washer's most famous sermon that did the trick. Praise God for this man. BTW they have the whole sermon translated in Korean somewhere on the web.
