You have not read the WHO's description of Type I FGM, which is removal of the clitoral hood and some degree of clitoral reduction.
They shouldn't use razors on girls. Instead, Africans should copy the USA's mass male-circumcision program and use a mini screw-clamp on female infants. The clamp prevents bleeding so that anesthesia is not needed. Adult women can have non-gross genitals.

You misunderstand. I'm proposing a new form of circumcision for US female infants, also available to American adult women. It would be the removal of the small, useless piece of skin that covers the clitoris. The removal of the smegma-collecting skin flap would please their sexual partners by the reduction of odor. Very few (3 in 10,0000) have a medical reason for this. Penile cancer affect 1 in 100,000 men and the primary risks factors are smoking, age and STDs. The fact that very few adult men elect circumcision reflects the fact that the practice can only be forced on uninformed and resistless infants.

No health organization in the world recommends circumcision. The so-called benefits are minimal and heavily debated. FGM was maybe started to prevent sexual pleasure, but guess what? Nope. The #1 secular reason for circumcision is aesthetic conformity. "So he'll look like me" is more a father's concern for himself than for his son. FGM is mostly done for the same reasons as circumcision - conformity, hygiene, aesthetic, rite of passage, religious rite. Mutilation of boys and girls only seems different when cherry-picking details and ignoring the facts.

You have not read the WHO's description of Type I FGM, which is removal of the clitoral hood and some degree of clitoral reduction.
They shouldn't use razors on girls. Instead, Africans should copy the USA's mass male-circumcision program and use a mini screw-clamp on female infants. The clamp prevents bleeding so that anesthesia is not needed. Adult women can have non-gross genitals.

You misunderstand. I'm proposing a new form of circumcision for US female infants, also available to American adult women. It would be the removal of the small, useless piece of skin that covers the clitoris. The removal of the smegma-collecting skin flap would please their sexual partners by the reduction of odor. The most common form of FGM is the removal of the clitoral hood, ie. the female foreskin. MGM has no health benefits and reduces sexual pleasure just like FGM. MGM, while usually not as damaging as FGM, is still a violation of human rights and should not be trivialized. She used this as a platform to promote MGM, so I responded appropriately. It's sickening how many people come on here and say how awful they think female circumcision is and yet they are fine with male circumcision. Hacking off parts of another person's genitalia without they permission is extremely disturbing no matter what the gender of the person or where they live.
Everyone should be against ALL circumcision, male and female.

Now a days for women it's different, they do it because of tradition in Africa, but what people dont realize is it started b/c men were scared their 'woman' would have the desire to cheat. thats why female circumcision is trying to be stopped today

No. We didn't evolve over millions of years just to have a foreskin wipe us out; the "dangers" of foreskins have been completely overblown for the profit of unscrupulous doctors.

@AviloriANo1 We should NOT brand all circumcision FGM. That is wrong. We should distinguish between the circumcision and FGM . Circumcision is nothing but a surgery where only excess labia minora is removed ( or some times clitoral hood too ) .Search for Labiaplasty for this surgery. It is available in UK/US hospitals for $3K . What we should do is to make the surgery legal and give hospitals instructions how to do it.
