I never cried during the movie. But I cried during this video. Very well done. I LOVED IT. It shows what these guys have to go through everyday. Not only when they're working but in their personal life also. GOD BLESS EACH & EVERY ONE OF THEM!!!

@TheFdny2001 My brother is a volunteer Firefighter in New Jersey. I know what you guys go through. Til this day I still cry for the Police, Firefighters, EMTs, & Citizens that lost their lives that fateful day 10 yrs ago. I myself lost 8 friends that day. I pray for you & your brother Firefighters.

This video made me cry just like the movie ALWAYS does! My hubby & I have been together since I was 16 & he was 19. He had just joined our local volunteer fire dept 2 months earlier. Now, almost 13 yrs later, he works PT on another dept as a Paramedic and FT on yet another dept as a firefighter/paramedic, in addition to being Training Capt. now for the volunteer dept! We now have 2 kids, so sometimes I worry, but I wholeheartedly support him in his passion for service to others. He is my Hero!

I have watched Ladder 49 quite a few times and every time, I still cry when Jack realizes he is trapped and not making it out alive! Also at the end when they are holding his funeral. I cannot imagine being married to a fire fighter and living in fear that every time my husband left for a fire call, it might be the last time I see him alive. I am an auxiliary member for my local volunteer fire company and it is nerve racking to see what these men & woman do!

Seeing this made me think back to when 911occurd i was bout7@ the time and can still remember that vial smell and hearing peoples screams the police men warned us off and holding my friend cz her father was1 of those brave firefighters that went in and never came out.My bf & uncles are firefighters& lords watchin over them. The video made me cry thinking of my story! Me and my dad were firefighter and we got to call to a house that was burning. Me and him went in, we were on the second floor and the floor collapse. I got out and my dad never did. So thank you for making a video that show people that we risk to help them and sometimes we lose something that is near to our heart.

I did not expect the ending. It tought me a lot. Firefighters dont do it for fun, nor the money, but to save others. I am going to be a firefighter in a few years. I hope to save lives each day and die as a hero.

this is a very great video for anybody that is a firefighter or who wants to be a firefighter. I am happy to say that i am a firefighter myself and i have been for 9 years and i love what i do. i love helping and saving people. i respcet all the firefighters. but also the armed forces i respect but what fitness levels are firefighters tested for ?

because im stuck in the mid for two jobs but people keep putting me off been a firefighter and then the film ladder 49 made me think again

Fire Departments level of training differs. Where i am, it is just like military style, we run the course then jog about 3 miles every shift morning. it just depends
