Hi chef Bitoy! I'm a big fan of your cooking.. I would love to see more of your recipes, and request if you can show us how to make Caldereta. thanks!
Sumptuous!!!! Brings back great memory when I was growing up back home in Manila! Which leads me to my question, Chef, I live up north here in BC, and Asian store is too far in between, is there something to substitute that MISO? I think other than that particular ingredient, I can try this wonderful recipe...at least I can try, not sure if I can replicate your end product, but we sure have an abundance of Salmon here!!! Bon Appetit!
@KitimatGooner Thank you very much. Miso doesn't have much flavor on its own, it is being added to the soup mainly for the texture. You can completely remove miso and you wiill have "sinigang sa mustasa". If you prefer to have velvety texture to your soup, just add mashed boiled yams or "laman ng gabi" or even boiled beans and mix it in the soup..... (",)
@KitimatGooner I'm sure miso is sold in your local grocery stores. I know our local Safeway market has them. Although the miso paste Chef Bitoy used is something I've never seen I'm sure you can substitute regular Japanese or Korean miso paste in lieu of the miso paste he used in this video.... Right Chef?
Am a huge fan of sinigang na ulo!!! So far this one is the best!!! Try nyo rin..
