Cool movie! nice time-lapse candy :P What type of intervalometer did you use ? did you use this remote infrared one that works with all cameras? website: tempus.bymac.org
@bymacorg20@bymacorg20 Thanks! I used the Canon interval software that came with the camera called EOS Capture. The files were then saved to the computer's hard drive. It's not bad when working near an electrical outlet but when you're outside it's a pain. I recently ordered one of these from Germany though and love it for interval shooting. It's brilliantly small and simple and requires no batteries. website: cms.diodenring.de/en/electronic/mikrocontroller/82-intervalltimerv2
I like the lighter colors too. We just had new Brazilian cherry installed in our TV room and went with the natural color and a clear top coat. The same guys did the new floor and they used a very durable museum quality top coat called "Bona Traffic", made by Bona. These guys know exactly what they are doing and our new cherry floor looks amazing!
It's oak. We have maple upstairs which looks much nicer but apparently in the 1920's Oak was more exotic in SE Wisconsin so they used it in the dining room to show off. Maple trees were everywhere so the entire upstairs looks like a bowling alley.

After watching this vid, I think I'm going with a lighter color when I re-do my floor, looks very nice. What type of top coat is more durable?

One more question if you will? what type and color of finish did you use? thanks for your time.

We didn't use any color once the old dark stain was sanded out and then sealed it with three layers of water based top coat.
