Hmm...now it is maybe not such a good idea. Being more of an economically minded person, I would wait before you try to do this. I would imagine that the housing market will drop some more. If you plan on bottom feeding, be prepared to wait for a long time to turn a profit.
I had noticed, but felt that a warning would still be beneficial. Financial markets are a decent endeavor, especially foreign exchange if you know what you are doing. Just be prepared to lose a lot of sleep. Best of luck in whatever endeavors you should choose.

A web design firm under the name webbed designers, I was surprised the domain name was still free.
I have worked in the industry for a long time and gradually come to the conclusion I could be making a lot more money and doing a better job of it with greater control over the process; so many companies out there charge too much or work with such haphazard methods that i'm confident the business will find a market.
Hope this leads you to where you want to be. either way, an investment in something like a duplex is security for you and your wife and on the other side someone else paying for it. The key to growing I think is to find a local handiman that gives fare prices and to KNOW what to fix and how to buy the material at homedepot, little tricks like them paying closing costs to save money and well you just kinda have to love the rush.
good luck with that man. I hope you're willing to commit more than 12 months though, because most businesses don't make money the first 3 years. Many falter and close up shop even before then. I've had my own little publishing and production company and just incorporated. It's a bear, but I work for myself. Nothing like it.
The commitment will be as long as it needs to take to get the job done. The 12 months comes into play as that is my target income goal for 2007. Hope your business soars.
BS... most businesses that are new get a lot of business at first and slowly decreases... the least a GOOD business can stay up is 4 years depending where u set up too
