  • spike lee and john singleton makes the best african american films ever!

  • @gangstaladie antoine fuqua tOO

  • @gangstaladie F. Gary Gray

  • Hey yall, would'nt it be nice for Mr. Singleton to do a movie on the late Walter Hawkins? Guess who would be the perfect leading actor? Sinbad. I know, sounds kind of crazy but, that's who l'd have play it. Only Mr. Singleton can pull something like that off!!!!

  • this little girl is loud, annoying and not very good at interviewing

  • did anybody notice that John Singleton looks like Candyman lol

  • @01VanceAnderson i thought i was the only one that thought that!

  • Spike ain`t racist fam

  • JOhn Singleton is 10X the director that RACIST SPIKE LEE IS!

  • @harveydents you're an idiot if you think 1. spike is racist or 2. singleton is better than spike.....

  • A word to all filmmakers....major in Business/Economics and learn the fundamentals of film in your spare time....build your intrinsic worth and knowledge base up first.

  • Juice is one of my favorite movies.

  • @dkeita1 Lolwhut?

  • john singleton, a racist asshole if there ever was one. just watch higher learning.

  • @kurt11110 seen higher learning and both whites and blacks had racial commentary in the movie....

  • @jargoer you are very right this is the same reason why the movie industry does not give the black film makers any money to make these movies

  • @DMVaReAkID the reason hollywood doesnt give black filmmakers money is because most of them are not going to sell out like tyler perry will.

  • black filmmakers need to help out each other more. coming out of college, most black filmmakers strave, funding films is challengeing and film festivals are hard to get into. some professionally black directors dont want to help other up and coming filmmakers out. if more black directors could help college film students each other out, this industry could be transformed!!

  • No they don't.

  • @jargoer wrong....black filmmakers work together all the time. they dont get funding from holly wood when they do controversial films. ernest dickerson, spike and singleton all work together..the new kids need to pay their dues just like melvin van peebles did and spike lee. you dont deserve nothing you have to work.

  • i agree with you a hundred percent it is hard as hell to be a black filmmaker, i am a film minor and most black filmmakers who come out of college basically strave, it cost alot of money to fund films and black people just dont help each other out anymore. most film festivals, you have to know someone for your film to get picked, bet is trash. black filmmakers who are in the business sometimes dont want to help a struggling actor or filmmaker out.

  • I think the interview was very interesting and not all movies will be a blockbuster, but I always gave John big props, By the way I have a movie script called "Three Generations Of Soldiers" hopefully starring Morgan Freeman,Denzel Washington and Will Smith, I would love to get in contact with John Singleton to pitch this movie which was tailored to be a blockbuster.

  • Joh Singleton si my favorite director. The thing that kills me about black directors is that they never help any young black filmmakers but they always talking about more black people doing more things. That's bullshit because I've been trying for years to get at the both of these guys.

  • TRUE...I met..well tried to meet John twice. Once was at a HBO party in Miami and the other was at a directors film festival luncheon..Put it this way, if u aint a pretty chick he's not paying u no mind...The only thing he told me was that I looked like Wesley Snipes which made me want to knock him out..B rated director if u ask me! Spike I worked for years ago when I was a teenager...and I got in by someone I knew..so its WHO YA KNOW!

  • thats true? where you work now?

  • Totally different field..I teach martial arts at gyms (good money) but still stay with my filmmaking roots..I'm doing a short and a feature this year.

  • I hear ya C but don't let that stop you. Do your thing and make noise with your own projects. Remember Spike started right where you might be now. It's possible my dude.

  • I'm not really worried much anymore I have my own set style so I'll keep it that way. check me out on youtube thecobretchannel

  • Nice to see these people showing respect.

  • Blacktree why haven't yall interviewed your Jesus, your lord & savior Barack Ohomo?

  • Why is it that people (not all) have to look around when they are being interviewed. Is it a issue of respect. I think that BlackTree viewed once will garnish lots of on going respect.
