When Jesus refers to the "bible" he is talking about Torah, the first five books of the bible, not the new testament, considering the new testament was written 100-300 years after the birth of Jesus. The protestants book has two completely different versions, in which one has the gospel of Mark 16:8 and one Mark 16:20 , and many verses are TAKEN OUT and the preface sais they were not in the oldest manuscripts (these verses have the core WHOLE story of the ascension).Now, which One? and WHY?

@Conail23 In this revsion, many verses were taken out. For example, gospel of mark ending, chapter 18, verses from 8 to 20 are taken out. The first epistle of John, chapter 5, verse 7 is taken out. John 3:16 the word (begotten) is removed (which is not just a word, but it indicates a very important foundation of christianity). So as you can see, you always take out and delete from the book, not only translate. Whole pages are thrown out, because they are NOT on the oldest manuscripts.
@emesol0, The RSV in not a translation, it is a perversion. SOme scholars have claimed the new versions are from older texts, that is nonsense. The King James comes from the most reliable manuscripts, textus Receptus being one of the most important, the other versions however are from totally different manuscripts, one from Alexandria, Egypt(not the place where the Bible originated) and the other being from the Vatican. I think we all know Vatican should never be trusted. Research the KJBible

You guys only view Prophet Jesus (PBUH) as your god, because you want to sin freely. You want something to justify your sins. Why would God have created Adam and Eve in the first place anyways? They sinned, therefore they were kicked out Heaven onto earth... and had to prove obedience to God. The wages of our sins are not death, the wagers of our sins are this earth starting with Adam and Eve.

Isaiah 59:2. God coming to this world to experience human death and rise frm the dead gives me evidence to believe in the power of His love for me, hence restoring my spiritual connection to God.
How does believing in God coming to this world as Jesus to restore our spiritual connectedness be an encouragement to sin?
John 4:24, "God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." Since we worship God in the Spirit and Truth and not thru rituals like muslims, we are, of all human beings acutely aware of sin.
If Muhd was really a prophet sent by God, then God actually had changed strategy. For thousands of years He had been sending Prophets frm among the children of Israel, suddenly He changed his mind and sent the "last and the greatest" Prophet from an Idolatrous Arab tribe..and reveals a scripture in Arabic. Now this doesnt make sense at all. This is real strategy change i tell u and as deceptive as Satan. No God doesnt play games, salvation is frm the Jews as He has promised.
The Term "Son of God" occurs 47 times in the King James New Testament. In reference to Jesus, it is a title as the heavenly, eternal Son who is equal to God the Father (John 5:18-24). It is Jesus who fully reveals the Father (Matt. 11:27). He is the exact representation of the Father (Heb. 1:1-3), He possesses all authority in heaven and earth (Matt. 28:18), and Jesus had glory with the Father before the world was made (John 17:5).
One thing that's important to understand is that as muslims we love Jesus Christ and believee in his miracles. We are the only faith other than Christianity where it is a tenet of faith to believe this. To say Jesus was son of God though is what doesn't fit. God doesn't bend around the bush when it comes to issues of divinity. If Jesus was God in the form of a man he would have made it explicit. We do know that Jesus worshipped God, when trouble befell him he would prostrate forehead to ground.
The pagan mind cannot accept a Son of God without superhuman invincibilities, but this is exactly how God revealed himself in Jesus, full of human frailty. The gospel writers obviously didnt attempt to recreate Jesus to "fit" into the human/pagan conception of God.
"I and the Father are one" Jn 10:30. How explicit do u want? If Jesus had revealed that which "fits" then it would not be considered a revelation at all. God immersing Himself into matter is a supernatural event, therefore the natural mind would not be able to completely grasp it. Its a marvellous thing that God entered into human history to redeem mankind. God's thinking and man's is eternity apart.
I 've heard this verse before and even many Christians have told me that this verse is not literal. One thing we both agree in Christianity and Islam is that God sent prophets as a blessing to humanity from the beginning since Adam on to Noah, Moses, Jesus Mohammed and many others, peace and blessings be upon all of them. They all said the same thing God is one and worship him alone. And in fact the first and second century christians worshipped God and not Jesus.
You claim to love Jesus, but how can u love him if u are completely ignorant about his life and teachings. There is nothing in the quran that reveals what Jesus exactly taught, or for the matter every other prophets before him. The muslim claims to believe all the prophets but can tell nothing about their lives and teachings. The quran then is not a revelation about God in any sense of the word, but a human philosophical attempt to understand the person God.
I'm not ignorant at all. I believe he did miraculous things; he cured the blind healed the lepers, raised the dead with God's permission, I believe all these things. If u read chapter 19 of the Quran (the nativity story) things will makes sense. God's method of salvation has been the same : to send prophets to mankind. Why would he all of a sudden change his strategy and send himself? He didn't, this is where the misunderstanding is and why the Islamic concept makes the most sense

For 9:5 read the verse before and afterwards,
9:1-3 Verses speaks of treaty that was signed between muslims and non muslims,

When Jesus refers to the "bible" he is talking about Torah, the first five books of the bible, not the new testament, considering the new testament was written 100-300 years after the birth of Jesus. The roman catholic version has 73 books while the protestants one has 66 books and the other 7 are considered as fabrication. The protestants book has two completely different versions, in which one has the gospel of Mark 16:8 and one Mark 16:20 , and many verses are TAKEN OUT and the preface sais they were not in the oldest manuscripts (these verses have the core WHOLE story of the ascension).Now, which One? and WHY?

@emesol0, those extra books are the apocrypha, and they are there for historical context in soem copies but they have NEVER been considered part of Scripture, even the Jews who wrote the apocrypha, do NOT claim that is is Scripture. By the way, u ar eright that nowadays there are many corrupt versions but the King James version has long been established as the preserved and accurate translation. @Conail23 In this revsion, many verses were taken out. For example, gospel of mark ending, chapter 18, verses from 8 to 20 are taken out. The first epistle of John, chapter 5, verse 7 is taken out. John 3:16 the word (begotten) is removed (which is not just a word, but it indicates a very important foundation of christianity). So as you can see, you always take out and delete from the book, not only translate. Whole pages are thrown out, because they are NOT on the oldest manuscripts.

@emesol0, The RSV in not a translation, it is a perversion. SOme scholars have claimed the new versions are from older texts, that is nonsense. The King James comes from the most reliable manuscripts, textus Receptus being one of the most important, the other versions however are from totally different manuscripts, one from Alexandria, Egypt(not the place where the Bible originated) and the other being from the Vatican. I think we all know Vatican should never be trusted. Research the KJBible

Furthermore faith is a personal belief and no one has to prove anything . Some people keep on arguing for ages who is right and who is wrong . At the end, we are all created by God and we are different in our logic .

One thing that's important to understand is that as muslims we love Jesus Christ and believee in his miracles. We are the only faith other than Christianity where it is a tenet of faith to believe this. To say Jesus was son of God though is what doesn't fit. God doesn't bend around the bush when it comes to issues of divinity. If Jesus was God in the form of a man he would have made it explicit. We do know that Jesus worshipped God, when trouble befell him he would prostrate forehead to ground.

I 've heard this verse before and even many Christians have told me that this verse is not literal. One thing we both agree in Christianity and Islam is that God sent prophets as a blessing to humanity from the beginning since Adam on to Noah, Moses, Jesus Mohammed and many others, peace and blessings be upon all of them. They all said the same thing God is one and worship him alone. And in fact the first and second century christians worshipped God and not Jesus.

There is nothing in the quran that reveals what Jesus exactly taught, or for the matter every other prophets before him. The muslim claims to believe all the prophets but can tell nothing about their lives and teachings. I'm not ignorant at all. I believe he did miraculous things; he cured the blind healed the lepers, raised the dead with God's permission, I believe all these things. If u read chapter 19 of the Quran (the nativity story) things will makes sense. God's method of salvation has been the same : to send prophets to mankind. Why would he all of a sudden change his strategy and send himself? He didn't, this is where the misunderstanding is and why the Islamic concept makes the most sense

If you read the Quran you will see for yourself what is said about all of the prophets. As muslims we read the Gospel and Torah b/c they are sacred texts, however the Quran is the only scriptual text that has not been altered by the hands of man. I'm not here to bash any one's beliefs, I'm just saying that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a man, and a very mighty man who I love dearly. But he was a man who ate , slept , prayed , things that created things like humans do to sustain their existence.
